Good to see Unsy not pandering to the utter myth that is Mo Besic

Mo Besic was another case of how some managers fail with man management. I used to follow Bayern Munich a lot before and they had a guy called Jose Ernesto Sosa that had similar outcome. Luckily for Sosa he managed to turn around his career and I hope Besic can do the same but he needs to leave.

Its kinda sad since he was playing the wrong position from the start. He shouldnt have been coached to a defensive midfielder. If Martinez coached him as a full back then we would have had more options for Coleman and Baines . Yes I remember the united game but that was ONE game. He had some qualities and quirks that could have made him a good full back. The central midfield was never a place where he actually would have been a first choice. Especially this season, and yet we saw Koeman waste Besics time by playing him as a centre back during pre season and then scrape that idea and give him some games after the pre season as a central midfielder. That is mental.

Surely Besic's worth a shot at being put in at CB with Jags instead of Williams for the next game? Jags and Williams just don't work together at all.

Was he fit for the leicester game? Because he should have been considered if he was. Rhino putting 3 over 30 slow defenders who are in woeful form and playing a high line against the best counter attacking team in the premier makes me question his basic ability to understand the game.

Have you ever seen him play Human?
(unlikely I know given it's rarity)

80% of the time he's ok i'd say then there are huge lapses in concentration where he either give the ball straight to the opposition or doesn't pick up his man. 2-3 times a game it happens, it leads to enough goals when there is a back four behind him, it would be more nailed on than a pen if it was only Pickford.

I see some of the same people wanting to see Besic at CB are the ones that want Funes Mori nowhere near the team because 'he's an utter bombscare'.

Crackers!

Nah you're absolutely right....let's just stick with the OAP trio who'd be lucky to even make the starting line up for any Championship team.

We already give the opposition a 1-2 goal headstart why make it 3-4.
Keane and Holgate are the answers not jamming an erratic midfielder in there to cause chaos.

Agree.

I like him and also Mccarthy, for the same reason I liked Gibson. In theory they're ball players who can block, track back and win a bit of possession.

But none are consistently fit enough. We're out of Europa, and very real relegation prospects. We don't need depth, we need quality now.

Besic goes, likewise McCarthy in the next window, and Williams and probably Mirallas, and Klassen. I'd think about Jags and Baines too end if Season ( though that's age, not performance ).

I'd only consider keeping Mccarthy out that lot if he can demonstrate consistency through the until and during the window.

No more one in six players at Everton.
