He's already proven it. Last time he was employed as a striker instead of a carthorse running the channels he scored 9 Premier League goals in 13 games.

Expect the same again. It shouldn't come as a surprise to anybody.

We played lovely stuff first half of the season Tubes and he got progressively worse.

There weren't much difference in our play from when he started scoring either. He's still got something to prove. IMO he will prove he's the bollocks. I just hope it's with us.

Which means he was more instinctive and ruthless in his first season than in the second. That stat means nothing in regards to his channel running as that is done as a defensive measure. When we were in possession his off the ball movement was still really good in the box; it was his finishing that was off.

His issue was in his head not in the tactics of the side, as we were playing in exactly the same manner

But, but, but, dem channels lad, Moyes ruins dem strikers lad, cows arse with a banjo is da ginges fault lad

In terms of managing him though. Moyes isn't blameless. Confidence is massive for strikers. Let him take a few pens, free kicks and tell him not to woory too much about doing anything on the pitch bar netting. He didn't.

One of a few factors that done for him IMO.

We weren't, his role was changed to become more defensive minded and Fellaini was adopted as the focal point of our attack, but I cba getting into this again, believe what you like.

Naismith looks a different player now hes fit and looking to impress. Glad of the turn around - to be fair it was a big injury he had and they take time to recover from. Good on him.

Jelly has scored in the pre-season, so up to now what's he done no wrong, Naismith was to some, MotM, Vs Real Madrid Jelly scored Vs Real Madrid
So it's only a friendly

but ffs a goal and a poss MotM.....who was it we were playing again

You can only knock down what they put in front of you....who was it again

Can you tell what it is yet, any one see the common denominator.

Having said that you're only as good as your next game, they've done themselves no harm in in front of the new boss....( not the same of the old boss thank God )

I think I am right in pointing out that is the first time the two former Rangers strikers have linked to create and score a goal for us, and it happened under RM - It was a very well worked and taken goal - it never looked likely under DM with Naismith stuck out on the right wing!

He was saying on Everton TV that he's only just fully fit now. If he gets games I think he'll score some important goals for us this year. He's not too dissimilar to Cahill and people would have slated Tim if we'd asked him to play on the right of midfield.
