Naismith and jelavic

Considering that he is obviously low on confidence which is probably not helped by playing out of his normal position, I think that it would probably be a fair enough idea to play him up front with Jelavic to see what might happen. If there is chemistry it might even help Jelavic who does not seem to have much chemistry with Victor or Fellaini. Also, as Feallaini looks like he will leave, there is now no harm in experimenting a little. We don't score many goals anyway so I doubt that things can get much worse by trying something different.

Maybe we can make a swap deal with Celtic for Wanyama and Hooper. Will be easier to get the two when Lennon is confirmed as our next boss.

watching how much Jelavic was moaning at everyone around him at the start of the season when as far as I could tell we were playing as well as we have in a long time, I remember wondering if he has been told they were getting Naismith in to play alongside him and wasn't happy that the game plan seemed to shift around Fellaini and Mirallas. Naismith looks like he is wondering what he is doing here and may not be as bad as he is looking and obviously needs a partnership, maybe playing regularly with Jela will get the best out of him, but even so I would much rather be getting the best out of Mirallas and Ancihebe from what they have shown at times

I just want to make something very clear. Though i do think Naismith will come good, next season. This 'he isn't being played in his right position' thing is nonsense, he said himself he is a right midfielder who likes to cut in, if you want to see it go and watch his interview on the everton site. He said he is a right midfielder, that is his favourite position, but he can play up top and in the centre too. It just simply hasn't worked out for him this season.

When you are playing badly,it's easier to blame everybody else rather than yourself.
Defenders have recognised how Jelavic likes to play ,he is a striker who plays in the box and likes to get on the end of crosses ,passes or errors all within scoring range. He has to learn to vary his game,I think he will still be a very good player, but will not be a hugely prolific striker.
Jelavic is a bit of a moaner, but I think he does work hard for the team and I feel that next season will be a better one for him.
I would be interested to see Naismith play behind Jelavic, but I would question if Naismith has the pace and stregth to play in the premiership.
Again,I will be interested to see if next season will be better for him and we need a squad of about 24 players where they can't all play in the first team every week.

I do agree with Steve that David Moyes has a preferred group of players and everybody else struggles to get a look-in ,ask Duffy and more recently Hitzlesperger.

Never seen any chemistry between them - you would never have thought they came from the same team that pass from Naismith to Jelly summed it up - Naismith was a waste of time & wages!

All of his goals in that Youtube clip come from him entering the penalty box from the center to either catch a throughball or head in a cross.
Doesn't seem to be too bad with his headers actually (credit to his defensive aerial work).

What's your defention of come?

Because Rooney.

Rooney came through under he tutelage of the academy, got pissed off by Moyes and wanted to leave. The only striker who has 'improved' under Moyes has been Anichebe and that has taken way too long.

Jelavic is good at finding space in the box and he looks more dangerous when we get to the by line and pull the ball back to him. Unfortunately, teams have cottoned on to this and he has suffered as a lot of our crosses are coming into the box from outside the area. Jelavic doesn't help himself by constantly falling over and moaning. Moyes should tell him you will not score while you are on your ar*e. I've noticed the last few games that Victor's falling over disease has returned along with the moan and sulk. He is less effective with this attitude as is Jelavic.

TBF to both forwards our midfield other than Felli has had little creativity Osman looks burnt out SP has not had a good game for a month & Baines looks to be playing with a injury! no forwards would relish playing in front of that midfield v Sunderland proved that our best chance was their shot back pass!

lol .. granted we have to give anyone who dons the shirt every chance, get behind them etc. but Naismith is simply not good enough. IN the event that he's carrying an injury or not shaken off the effects of a bad injury he is simply not playing smart. I don't see where he fits in, even in rotation I would put him 3rd. choice at best in any position. He's slow, lightweight and has an alarming inability to do the simple thing effective. For every good thing he does there's x 10 errors / mistakes etc.

As for he misses playing with Jelavic and that Jelavic's decline has contributed to his own poor form what a sad state of affairs that is, he should be able to play with whoever, wherever.

He's not good enough and if we can get any money for him .. sell.
