Naismith? Thoughts?

A good point well made.

I am not a fan of Naismith at all but you have to give him credit for his performance yesterday. It's clear for everyone to see that he just isn't very good but he still gives his all each game and in games like yesterday, proved that he can offer something to the team. He gave us an outlet in the air and he even beat Terry to a few headers which isn't easy. He is piss poor on the ball and it showed numerous times yesterday but off the ball he was great. He provided cover for Coleman all game and the two of them kept Hazard quiet and he got himself in the position to score for the goal.

I wouldn't have him anywhere near the starting 11 but if he is allowed to get in the box, he can do a job for 15-20 mins if the team are struggling.

Having said that, people saying he was excellent etc yesterday have got their blue tinted specs on. He could barely keep hold of the ball and it reflects poorly on Chelsea that they couldn't exploit that.

Agree with all that.

Naismith was good yesterday but I think people will be back to criticising him once he plays in a game in which Everton are dominating possession. He has very little about him in terms of real quality - good poacher though.

He was no different to what I thought of him last year TBH. Good workrate, poor technically, pops up with goals by being in the right place.

Osman (get grief on here) to Jelavic (gets grief on here) to Naismith (gets grief on here) 1-0 to Everton.

Our so called rubbish players get us a win against PL favourites.

I hope we have more rubbish players if winning is the result.

WELL DONE Naismith hope you provide more goals and IMO he was MOTM but Free signing Barry who is also too slow (not my words) was quality.

The Tosh Trinity.

Also, our right side was solid as this weekend.

Him & Coleman were a deadly defensive duo, Hazard barely got a sniff.

If you look to the other side, he's a flair player and we love him and everything but Mirallas was constantly letting Ivanovic steam past him and had poor Baines getting 2v1'd all the time, which is the reason I think we didn't see much of him going forward. Most everything came down our left because of this.

Hes utter utter crap

Not arsed if he scored yesterday, Not arsed if he runs his arse off

He's crap, First touch is awful aand his passing is just as bad, Should be no where near the first team imo

Did you miss the inch perfect cross he put onto Jelavic's head first half?

Come to think of it, did you miss the entire ****ing game?

credit were its due he had a decent enough game on sat.

But workrate is the minimum i expect from a pro athlete tbh. He does good things and bad and doesnt have real quality consistantly enough in 90 minutes for me.

Great cross on a plate for Jela to bury...then has a chance to give us a real counter attack threat and puts a poor ball across the park which is easily intercepted.

Feel exactly like i did last season. Might do a job against lesser sides...might come on and nick a goal now and then but i dont want him in my starting 11 when everyone is fit.

Done well staruday though and i was made up for him getting the winner in such a massive game on his bday

No mate

What I do remember is us couter attacking in the first half, I think Barkley gave him the ball in acres of space on the right, He looked up and spooned the ball across the deck to a Chelsea player

I am not arsed what anyone else thinks of the lad, My opinion is he's utter sh1te and should be nowhere near a premier league side never mind one that sits in the top 6

TBH picking out a good pass he made or a bad one is daft you need to look at him since he's been here, His first touch and passing are awful

Great without the ball, poor with it. Though I'll say that I think he realizes it, and will try to move the ball to better players with simple passes.

He can play the wide midfield role in our 4-2-3-1 because of his work rate and willingness to get into the box.

Let yourself down here.

Hes not a world beater never will be but hes one of ours. He had probably his best game for us Saturday and credit where its due.

Mick he's not good enough for Norwich or Stoke never mind us

Yes he had a decent game on Saturday, Does that mean I should change my opinion on him after one half decent 90mins

I hate the way people bang on with "He gave 100%" "He was everwhere" etc etc, He does all of those things because he's a awful footballer

Like I said its all opinions, If you or anyone else think he's good enough to play for Everton then that's up to you

Hes never going to be world beater- like I said but he had a good game Saturday. So ****ging our players off after they have a good game is embarassing in my opinion. While he wears our blue he'll get my support. If he can play consistently like he did on Saturday he'll be a decent squad member.
