@Flynnthistle seems to have a good take on Patterson and the rep he's got within footballing circles up in Scotland.

Happy with this signing mate?

Delighted mate. As I said when I posted a few days ago, I think 14m, as is the fee I'm led to believe is still the case, is a fantastic investment. When given freedom to bomb on, he's superb. His final ball is on a different level to what we are used to with Coleman. A proper good bit of business. For a change.

Coleman will still be playing and starting next season.
It wouldn't surprise me tbh , but if he is than Patterson would be a really really bad player becuase coleman is a crab.

For some odd reason based on nothing I think he's gonna be class me, abit like Tierney from arsenal who I think is class

Haven't seen a lot of him, but looks to have a good build and is quick. The fee is quite high, anywhere from 9-12 down with another 3 or 4 in bonuses, so it's certainly a big commitment on the lad. Surprised we didn't get it done in the summer.

What’s the alternative? Kenny or Coleman?

Coleman plays. This kid isn't ousting him from that position.

We've kids with more prem experience not even getting a sniff, so the fact this lad who's played a total of 27 games for rangers (most as a sub) is going to over take someone with nearly 400 games for us overnight isn't going to happen.

If it does...it's plain amateurish management.

More likely to see Holgate or Godfrey there.

We aren’t paying £10-12m for him to be an understudy after years of crying out for a replacement RB, Coleman won’t play both games next week, Patterson is more than likely playing at the KCOM next Saturday

Nothing to do with being a bad player it's about game time and being able to play at a level he's never been at.

Can't compare him to Tierney who played 170 games for Celtic and was first choice left back.

We've got kids with more prem experience oe Kenny who just aren't good enough whixh is wju we are spending money on a new RB ( I guess that's who you mean )

And before you say anything, Kenny absolutely flopped at celtic and they called him rubbish where rangwrs think this kid is a huge talent and that's the difference
