He's played 25 games in the last 18 months for Rangers (albeit a fair few from the bench) plus 6 games for Scotland in that time?

We need to start signing players from ‘source’, rather than letting someone else pick him up for this price and potentially have to sign him for triple that amount in a few years time.

Id rather take the risk, than buying someone like Kieran Trippier whos 31 and on massive wedge.

Patterson is the sort of player we have to sign. He is young, given his age and his position at Rangers he has done as much as he possibly could, he appears to have the right temperament and while he is costing quite a lot he can’t be on massive wages. I would rather see us buying potential than bringing in has beens and paying them a fortune in wages.

This is a great signing but not that he will be able to step in right away, next one that Rafael will send for loan on summer and seek for experience players as it’s not easy to get back in PL from Champ back to back
