Confirmed Signing Nathan Patterson

I think the last time I was on here was 10 years ago trying to convince you all that Jelavic and Naismith were players!

Nathan is a huge talent. He can go right to the top. Oozes confidence on the pitch and will give his all for the shirt.

It's a brilliant deal for all parties really as the wee man is now set for life, you've got an asset you'll likely sell for a fortune and the money will help us rebuild.

Best of luck for the rest of the season!

This is mildly concerning...

Ha! NP is a huge talent mate. It was just our luck that our best youth prospect played in the same position as our captain - and the numbers he produces meant game time was limited for Nathan but any time he stepped in he was brilliant. He's been great for Scotland too. Really creative for a FB, pacey and loves a tackle.

Honeslty as a Rangers fan, I think Patterson will be a great signing. He's got everything you'd want in that position. Unlucky at us cause Tavernier plays there and he's captain and just look at his stats. If it wasn't for him he'd be playing every week for a season at least. Will be some player in a year or two once he's settled in and matured a bit. He's quick, composed and can finish, will be up and down that line like a Robertson type ( sorry for the Liverpool reference ) its a good deal for us cause we're getting actual money but don't let that or him not playing regular put you off. He's young and maybe a little raw but think you've got a gem at a good price by your leagues standard. We've been trying to fit him into other positions cause of Tav and thats not fair on a young boy so should be good move for him and all concerned id say. Ignore the Celtic View etc. Good luck to him and good luck to you boys.

What comment have I made about Patterson that you've taken exception to?

This thread has been unbelievable.

I know some football fans can be a bit precious, and lash out whenever there has been criticism of the team, manager, stadium, or anything to do with the club. I don't ever remember seeing such a reaction to someone who hasn't even criticised the player.

I came onto this thread to find out if the reports about the fee were true. Someone posted a list of Patterson's qualities, and I said I didn't realise he was so good, and wondered why he had hardly played for TRIFC.

Since then, most of my posts have been responding to people who have been unhappy at me asking what seemed to me to be a perfectly reasonable question, and have lashed out with bizarre comments ranging from Celtic players not playing for Scott Brown lasts season, and I wouldn't have a good word to say about any TRIFC player, to 'Still stuck in the dark ages with their religious war'

As I keep saying, I can only speculate how bad the meltdown would have been if I had actually criticised Patterson.

The fact of the matter is that the fee is undisclosed so nobody knows. I personally don’t know why you’d be concerned in all honesty.

I searched Patterson on Twitter yesterday and most of the comments were arguments between Celtic fans and Rangers fans about the fee.

Now you have a Celtic fan on an Everton forum saying how unbelievable the thread is and how he is only here to find out how much the fee is. Absolutely absurd behaviour.

What a weird bunch.

Lads we welcome fans of any club here but please don’t use it as a fighting area a between yourselves.

Also, sectarianism ended in here in the ‘50’s so please leave that out.

Obsession mate. They are beyond help with it. They have a song about our Kitman. We couldn't tell you who their assistant manager is and they sing a song about the lad that puts the kits out before games lol
