Said it for a while mate. He wont take a defender on...which is a bit of a problem if you're a wing back. Too timid.
If you've said it for a while then that means you are talking pish. Patterson's whole game his whole career has been about rinsing folk down the wing. If he hasn't been doing that on his first couple of appearances, it's either because Lampard is vewing the defence more as a 5 than a 3 or that Patterson is feeling his way into the EPL.

That you've been "saying it for a while" just shows you don't know his game. He's the least timid 20 year old full back you'll find but he's likely keeping it solid in a team that's shot of confidence searching for their first win of the season.

Your whole schtick "for a while" was that he was too frail to defend, should be loaned out to League 1 and is actually a winger who can't defend. LOL. So he's a timid winger in your view aye? Slaver.

We think he plays next week or Coleman comes back in?
Apart from today with that howler he hasn't done anything great and he hasn't done anything greatly wrong.

Overall I'd say he's done a 6/10 performance. Ok but certainly not a run of games where you say "automatic start".
