This lad, at 20, is looking an absolute diamond.

I love how he plays the game.

Such tenacity, confidence - he give Liverpool no respect at all. Such a breath of fresh air. There was a great little compilation of his game vs Liverpool. To put in a performance like that in a derby so early in his career tells me he's capable of going on to be a very good player.

Sure, he'll make mistakes - what fullback doesn't? He's 20, joining us from Rangers but right now, if Man Utd renewed their interest and offered £30m I'd tell them to shove it. What did we pay? £12m+£4m? Money in the bank.

Given about 35 players have played for both clubs - I find it odd Dave to get hung up on it.

Lad who scored the goal that won our last trophy we got from Rangers, Arteta, Naismith, Weir, Steven, Stephens, Kanchelskis, Naismith, Gough, McCall and bloody Andy Gray. All played before or after we had them for Rangers.

Not even mentioning Ferguson who I know you hate.

We didn;t get Steven or Stevens or McCall or Kanchelskis or Gough from rangers.

The ones we did get: some were good, some were bad. I support any that do the business (Arteta). Patterson may or may not add to that.

Never says we did get them from them, I said they all played for both clubs.

Gough we effectively did, not counting him being in the US for 6 months after leaving rangers

Just give Patterson a break mate, it's not the hill to die on
