I agree. But I do think Patterson has performed better than Young across the season and is the only one of the 3 RBs who is actually going to improve. Like Coleman did, he probably could use a loan but we don’t have that option right now. Coleman was 24 when he took our RB spot, played RM for 2 seasons for us after his loan. I still don’t understand why Patterson wasn’t used as a RM earlier in the season when we had no wingers available.

It will be Coleman starting the next Premier League game against Villa after the FA Cup.

You don't think a PL defender should be able to hold their own with attacking players from opposition teams? Grealish has no pace, btw. Maybe we can ask the opposition to play their slowest players so this lad can chug back and keep pace with them?

I mean, he literally looks and see Cunha, he is ballside and goalside of him yet, he also doesn’t get there. And when the move started, he was already marking Cunha.

You also aren’t having a go at Keane who did nothing either.

The goal doesn’t fall on one person. It is a combination of failures by players. But for some reason, you only blame one. I’m not saying Patterson couldn’t have done more, but Tarkowski was literally marking the player who scored.

Nice try.

Here's the frame before: Tarkowski is correct to keep his eye on the danger of Keane getting beaten so he's poised to get over there. Patterson can see the danger of the goal scorer in front of him but allows him - HIS man - to accelerate away from him and tap the ball into an empty net. Fast asleep again at the back.

How on earth you can defend this lack of urgency I don't know.

You think Tarkowski is going to teleport 20 yards in half a second?

Also wasn’t his man. Go back like 2 seconds earlier and Tarkowski is literally touch tight on him.
