2024/25 Nathan Patterson

….bull in a china shop, he really needs to be more composed otherwise no manager will chance him in our predicament. Maybe a fellow Scotsman in charge and new coaches can take the fizz out of his game.
How do you expect any player to hit form when they’ve been sat on the bench for most of the season watching a grandad playing instead of him?

Has something this lad

Don’t see how he fits into this team though if we’re going 3 CB’s and wing backs

Arguably it should be Young on the left and Lindstrom on the right

If we go four at the back then I’d start him though
Lindstrom for Doucoure would be good. Two no.10s who can dribble behind DCL/Beto plus a right back who tries to cross from the byline.

I think if you’re going 3 cbs with wing backs then you want Lindstrom on the right like he was today with O’Brien in the 3

If you’re going 2 cbs, then Patterson as rb and Lindstrom as RM could work

Different options there with 3 at the back,

can go 3-4-2-1, 3-4-3 or also 3-1-4-2, this means you can play both as RM and RW or even CAM, either Pat or him or also both.

Pushing too high up when it wasn’t needed at 3-1 and defensive positioning is questionable, can get forward but we need someone who can defend and get forward same on the left.

This opinion was clearly forged before today's performance. He did very well, and showed composure at a time when others were panicking.
