I can't keep up with all of their picks--that's a full time job--but a quick glance shows these recent 76ers draft picks:
2011 -- Vucevic -- good player, involved in the Igoudala trade
2012 -- Harkless -- Igoudala trade
2013 -- Carter Williams -- no good
2014 -- Embiid -- good player
2014 -- Payton -- traded for Saric + picks
2015 -- Okafor -- no good, now playing with Pels
2016 -- Simmons -- good player
2016 -- Luwawu-Cabarrot, Korkmaz -- who? and who?
2017 -- Fultz -- traded
2018 -- Bridges -- traded
2018 -- Shamet -- traded
2019 -- Thybulle -- acquired via trade (looks like a good player...)
Plus tons of seconds, most of whom I'm not at all familiar with
Wait til we discuss whether Nets are a NY team
It was all Giants before Deron Williams. And uh, that team you claim they support has awful attendance and was shopped around.
Merked.
Suns with their first win vs Spurs in San Antonio in 7 years. Overcame Anfield derby type performance from the refs
Yea, the Nets struggled with even Jason Kidd. They're a NJ team. You can try to do this and twist things around, but the nets are the clippers.
This is the best you can do? Sit down.
I just want him to get more aggressive and assert himself. Has all the tools but plays so passively sometimes. Doesnt help we picked him over Luka so I'm sure that leads to people judging him more intentlyI love DeAndre Ayton so much.
You can argue with them in hindsight, however, when those picks were made they looked to be the rignt ones. That's the challenge with building through the draft in a lottery league. I remember Carter Williams looking decent his first year, then they traded him I believe. Or perhaps it was after but he completely fell off the map after his rookie year.
I don't think what the 76ers did was wrong. If you can't attract free agents, you gotta tank and accumulate draft assets. Unfortunately that's the easy part.
I’m not so sure. If Morant becomes the better player, I’d wager it would have to do with injury issues. Also, it depends on how much spacing the Pelicans add to boost Zion’s production.I think Ja is going to be the better NBA player. And that doesn't mean Zion can't be a perennial all star. I just think the way the game has shifted his skills translate better to the game now. I'm a big fan of Morant.
It'll be interesting to see how those two teams develop since they have maybe the two best up and coming players in smaller markets for the NBA. I personally hope they both stay and NO and Memphis can build around them. The league is better if you can have a milwaukee, no, memphis contending. Then have the Lakers, Celtics going. And then maybe a portland or Houston in contention.
