Afraid to drive in traffic because he isn’t confident at free throw shooting. He needs to develop a shot or he’ll regress significantly.

Have you actually followed the NBA lately? Simmons has been great during Embiid's absence. Not the best sign for them, nor your posting. Floor spacing has always been a problem with simmons and embiid.

But like everything NO, we got Brees, I like the NFL, we got Zion, where's Duke? I like the NBA. Y'all had AD who is better than Zion and y'all never showed up.

I’ve laid my allegiances bare with nothing hidden, but you’re a great fool if you think the people of New Orleans don’t support their teams.

Also, Simmons is a huge liability, worse than Embiid’s health. They can’t win the East and will be lucky not to face the Heat, who will be the #2 team in the East by season’s end. At least if they lose to the Bucks they’ll have an excuse.

It was all LSU before Brees. And uh, that team you claim they support has awful attendance and was shopped around.

Just be real about it, I just find the shitting on simmons and hyping up zion when you just lost a guy better than zion to be annoying.

You had 5 years to be serious, you're lucky you got another 5. Zion has not proven to be better than simmons at all.

I mean zion, ingram will probably leave that team within 5 years anyways. You had a chance with AD and did nothing. No one showed up, owners didn't try to win. Team probably would be better off in Seattle. Atleast they show up.

You’re a colossal dumbass who knows nothing about New Orleans

I mean I'm impressed you can spell colossal and you're from New Orleans.

So you have that going for you. You over achieved.

Also, that's the response of someone who pretty much can't refute that post.

Resorting to childish insults. If you actually want to make a case as to why anything you said about Simmons, Embiid, or Zion is correct, get back to me swamp boy lol

You need to work on your wumming, like Simmons needs to work on his shooting. Else you won’t enjoy GOT. Ben is an LSU boy and gets a lot of love locally (though I’m not from NOLA, as I’ve made plain before.) Simmons became a meme for his 3 point shot long before his current woes. He’s got a future in the NBA, but if he can’t get the outside shot and he’s afraid to take foul shots, it’s a very bleak future.

Do the people of New Orleans support the Pels like they do the Saints? No, certainly, but then the Pels have been in town less than 20 years, and some of those were split with OKC. The New Orleans faithful love their pro teams, more so even than LSU, and they give solid support to the Peks and their stars. I don’t know how well you know your NBA but before AD there was a guy for the Hornets named Chris Paul, he was well liked in the city also. Are you calling NOLA a terrible city because it’s teams don’t always win? You must really hate Ohio then.

What were your other complaints? The Saints and LSU? Not much I can say there. Two record setting QBs. One record setting national champion in college football. One top 3/4 NFL side that got out coached and embarrassed at home in the playoffs (see also Baltimore Ravens). Is that homerism? I don’t think so.

Is there anything else you don’t like?

Oh, Zion. Yeah, the guy that sports writers and NBA analysts describe as a unique talent. That’s fine, you’re entitled to your opinion as well.

My apologies for the paucity or spelling and grammatical errors in the comments above. It’s late here, you know.

Err don’t know about this really. I wouldn’t say he’s afraid to do it at all. We’ve seen the real Simmons now Embiid is out but he’s back soon and they’ll go back to looking horribly out of sync unless the coach staggers their minutes properly. Simmons needs to go to a team like a healthy Warriors.

Back to this, I think it's a legitimate concern. His shooting outside of 3 feet is terrible, which means his shooting is terrible. And his FT % is near 58 % which is turrble (Shaq, for his career, shot near 53%*). I've not watched Simmons closely because I don't watch Philly if there's another option, but I listen and read a lot and his reluctance to take spot jumpers and drives that would get fouls (because his shooting confidence is low) comes up a lot. This take could be entirely wrong, but I don't think it is. And I'm not anti-Simmons, the bit about Zion already being better than him is just a little Yanking yer chain. But he does need to figure out his shot or t-r-o-u-b-l-e.

*Wilt was near 52%, but Ben ain't Wilt, and he doesn't play in the 60's NBA

Whether they choose Embiid or Simmons is up for debate but I think it's pretty clear that barring an unexpected finals run they need to move one and build around the other
