Really? Third-best record in the league, top five in terms of man-games lost this season through injury -- not load management -- and one win better through 51 games (37-14) than they were last year. On a 12-game winning streak. But much like the English media overlooks or ignores Everton, the American sports media do the same to the Raptors. And as they found out last season, to their peril. BTW, Toronto went 17-5 last season in Kawhi's load-management absences.
Bottom line is they may not have the marquee star they did last year, but they're much more of a team in terms of their depth. Who you gonna shut down? Lowry? Then VanVleet will kill you. Siakam? Then it'll be Gasol or Ibaka. Add the likes of Norm Powell, who's a very underrated player, Terence Davis, OG Anunoby and Chris Boucher and I'll put the Raptors' depth up against anyone in the league.

Who they going to in the 4th in play-off games? Siakam?

I feel like it's a great trade for the Warriors getting out of Russell's contract for a guy on a way better contract for basically the same production. Especially since Russell was just a stop gap while Klay recovers.

Getting a first round pick in the deal as well which could be a good one sends it over the top. I sorta feel like GSW fleeced Minnesota.
Very good trade. Wiggins is definitely a better fit once Steph and Klay are back. He’ll play the Barnes role, I would assume.

Can thank the splash bros for the way the game is now.

It's been happening for a while. Simple math + guys like Daryl Morey + freakishly good shooters like Steph and Clay. Soon we'll be so spread out and playing so small that teams with a few guys who can create their own open shot, even a midrange 2, will be dominant, and we'll see an emphasis on shutdown defenders who can switch roles, and you'll see a restriction on which shooters can jack up threes as the emphasis becomes quality of shot over simple math.

We may never get back to big men who can't shoot deep, but you may see big men who can rotate on defense and shot open 2s come back in vogue. I don't know enough basketball theory, but will be interested in the next defensive evolution, whether hybrid zones or switching zones with one man marker, but I would be surprised if basketball doesn't add tactics borrowed directly from football (and maybe even very soon).

Plus 2 potentially very high picks in the draft

*that doesn't flow. Good trade and better fit for GSW, who now has their 5 set for next year unless they add a FA. plus 2 high picks. Next year should be ok for GSW.
