Confirmed Signing Neal Maupay

I think I just did.

Our ability to spend now is restricted by S&P rules.

That restriction almost certainly came about because of Moshiri's lack of nous - I'll agree with you on that one mate.
That's not what I'm saying, though - so I'd rather you didn't 'fix' my point of view because I like it just how it is.

Why has Potter preferred Danny Wellbeck over him this season?

He refused to sign a contract no?

If that was us in that case I wouldn't want him playing either - I would start planning and playing players who are staying.

However, Everton dont work like that we let players who are clearly driving their contract down play until they leave for free.

He does when a player's ready to be registered inside 2 and a half hours. It means everything is done.

There's no way - at all - this is getting done by noon.

What, you think Frank should have said 'Yeah, we've got Maupay in the medical now and provided that goes OK we'll be signing him up'??!

KKRRRRAAAAAASHHH!!!

Gives us the option to go two up top in a 3-5-2 or 4-4-2 without him just reproducing Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Tactical flexibility is probably going to be important with 5 subs this season.
He seems like he'd mostly play alongside Dominic Calvert-Lewin or another striker rather than as a lone forward.

I think he and DCL could compliment each other mate, if you look at Maupay, his best work is done from deeper positions, most of his goals come from the outer box and he likes to drop deep, Dom is the opposite he's best in the Mele deep in the box and getting on the end - hes never been great at finishing with the ball at his feet. I think both contrast, offer different things, but playing together are great foils for each other and difficult to play against as the offer different threats and are both a pain (if DCL is up for it).

Still think we need an inside forward though, someone similar Richarlison who can come in off the flank.

In each of the last 4 seasons he has outscored and out assisted Welbeck.

So its definitely not down to ability why Welbeck has been starting.
