Confirmed Signing Neal Maupay

Make the advanced stats argument, then. Otherwise, I'm inclined to believe that he kept them up three years running. Goals scored of 10/8/8 over three years? Looks like a superhero in this squad.

If they're selling someone they bought for +/- 20 million pounds because he is on his last contract year and won't re-up, the price is also likely to be right for this contribution.
They're hawking him around everywhere and the clubs that are interested are us and Fulham. I'm not sure most "superheroes" have two relegation favourites as their only suitors. Let's also be realistic about the keeping them up part of your argument, Brighton were never in danger last season and not because of Neal Maupay.

I'm not too disappointed in the signing because I know there is not a great deal of options around and he's a decent player. But the concern would be that Graham Potter has chosen an ageing Danny Welbeck to be ahead of Maupay this season and that doesn't necessarily bode well.

First of all Maupay was a regular starter up until the end of last season, we had already brought Deniz Undav as his replacement who we loaned back to USG. During this time Welbeck form got better, so the writing was on the wall for Maupay. We offered Welbeck a new 2 year deal, with only 1 year left on his contract, Brighton decided to accept offers for him.

Maupay is not your 20 to 30 goal a season striker, if thats what you want then good luck with that, your be paying a £50m plus for that with no guarantee that you get someone like that, what you will get with Maupay is 100% commitment, play him up top with someone else and he will create space for them. For £15m its a good deal for both clubs imo.

I think it was done when @Tofeenut said it was.

All the 'he's having his medical' etc is just content/quota filling.
Tofeenut will get his information either when a player has his medical, or possibly when he's booked in for a medical.
It's possible a medical may have been booked for today, although the certainty of his post makes me think the medical was done when he posted yesterday.
