He didn't want to score that chance enough. He looked worried about colliding with their keeper

Confidence is huge in sport and I don’t his work rate but he is seriously
Lacking confidence in front of goal. The lad need a break a lucky goal or something. The chance where he took a touch instead of hitting it 1st time is where he is at right now.
I would put Keane up there if they want to play that way at least he would get on the end of things and he has a better scoring record , unfortunately mostly in his own net.A positive is that he actually had a chance. Usually he's so far off the pace he can't even get himself into positions to score.
He just can't lead the line by himself in this system and none of our midfielders are capable of giving him any support up there either. I know the options are limited but Dyche has to start thinking about putting someone like Gray up top or even a centre half. It's really that desperate.
Therein lies the problem. If 5'6 Maupay is scared of being hurt by Emi Martinez then he's going to be scared of 99% of other defenders and goalkeepers too. Absolute waste of a shirt and hopefully Dyche learned that yesterday. He didn't want to score that chance enough. He looked worried about colliding with their keeper
I have to agree there. There was a couple of occasions in the 1st half where McneilA positive is that he actually had a chance. Usually he's so far off the pace he can't even get himself into positions to score.

I think it's worth taking a punt at sticking mina or Keane up front even for the last 20 minsA positive is that he actually had a chance. Usually he's so far off the pace he can't even get himself into positions to score.
