It's mind boggling to think that any recruitment professional could look at him and think he was good enough to play for us. Hes not even ok. My heart sank (well, the little bit further it could, like) last season around the 70 minute mark when you just knew he was coming on. Proper yardstick to the depths we've sunk to.

And people are praising his work rate. It’s another freaking myth. All it takes is desire to burst forward and and join the attack(which is the most enjoyable part of football). It doesn’t require skill to run, it’s just desire to attack and score, he had non.

This annoys me more than anything. When he’s on the pitch I find myself specifically watching him when we attack and he actively avoids getting into the box, he’s either too scared to miss or just genuinely brain dead. There were countless times balls were put across the penalty area last season and he was absolutely nowhere to be seen, about 20 yards behind the play. No one considers these chances created, and they don’t get counted on the stats, but that’s the fault of the centre forward. It’s also nothing to do with “systems” either, it’s an individual choice the player is making. I’ve said before we might as well play with 10 men and no striker than have him on the pitch, he is that useless.
 

We are going to end up with another Maupay the way things are going. Some crap club having us over a barrel on deadline day demanding 15 million for one of their reserves.
