Also the same as Bergkamp’s vs Newcastle in the sense that it was a poor touch that set him up perfectly

Not being funny but he's clearly one of the best second choice strikers in the league if you think about it. Think he'll get loads of chances even when Dom is fit and playing. Imagine having him coming on at 60 minutes or playing up alongside Calvert Lewin, he may not get 20 goals a season but he'll be very good for us. Yet another player who'll no doubt prove the doubters wrong, which was plainly obvious anyway to everyone who actually wanted this team to succeed and wasn't just putting forward false and negative arguements as if we bought him to be first choice, which by the way wouldn't even have been that bad.
1 in 2 for us so far and should really have scored against those as well, he'll get the chances, sometimes he might miss but he'll keep going and going not hide or sulk, that's the sign of a good forward for me.
Listened to a fella behind me at half time saying ‘Maupay is awful, as if he’s a better striker than Ellis Simms, Nathan Broad’hurst’ or Dobbin’.
I was just laughing to myself thinking you honestly have no clue. The league is difficult to play in and none of them other guys have the required ability to play in the Premierleague, yet.
Bang, Maupay scores. I turned around and said ‘there you go, slagging him off at half time wasn’t you!’
Just mad some of our fans.
Btw Dominic Calvert-Lewin never scores that.
So we would’ve drew 0-0 if Maupay hadn’t started.
Wasn’t an easy ball to control but I doubt he’s meant for it to sit up with him like thatDo you believe that was a poor touch?
I'm sure I heard Hasselbaink and Wright say the same.
Personally thought it was a great touch to take it on the turn.

Should've played more to his feet yesterday because he's tricky. A few pointless high crosses yesterday he had no chance withHis touch is much better than I realised. He’s got quick feet which helped us keep possession a number of times.
He’s made a promising start - well done to the lad
