Shouldve signed Pen Prereton Piaz instead
Let’s not get cocky. He scored a goal, making up for the sitter in the derby.
Still a big if, but he reminds me a bit of Tony Cottee. Maybe it's just the low center of gravity...The thing is if he somehow starts finishing he's actually quite talented as an all round player. Could be a steal. Big if still.

Very, very silly comment about a player who doubles Maupays goal scoring record when fit.Btw Dominic Calvert-Lewin never scores that.
Not so, in fairness. Not DCL’s game. On the flip side, I imagine DCL throwing himself at that Gray cross/shot that Maupay was nowhere near. Could well be an idea to have both on the pitch at the same time when DCL is back.Very, very silly comment about a player who doubles Maupays goal scoring record when fit.
Very silly.

I like the idea that Maupay will drag a couple of defenders to the edge of the box whenever he gets the ball into feet, there. Makes space for other players, if he can move it out of his feet quickly enough.
I like Maups, but theres no need to go for Dom cos another player scored a goal. Not so, in fairness. Not Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s game. I get that. I didn’t read back to see the context but if it was a needless dig at Dom then I agree it was silly. Still, not untrue.I like Maups, but theres no need to go for Dom cos another player scored a goal.
Weird, weird fanbase.
*heads to Keane thread
