He starts next week too by the way.

We are absolutely not competent enough to sign a striker ready to start next week and DCL won’t go from not in the squad straight into the XI

Very much like DCL actually- thinks he’s done well if he forces the keeper into a save.
If you're forcing the keeper in to making a top quality save then yes, you've done well and on another day they could have scored. But forcing them in to a very average save that the keeper should be making, not much of an achievement and you're relying on goalkeeper mistakes to get the goal.

No need for this crap really.

Dyche makes some strange selections, I know he doesn't think Cannon is ready, but, judging by his comments, he doesn't think Chermiti is ready either. The thing is,, he'll never know if he doesn't play them. The one thing he should know at this stage is, Maupay is never going to be the answer. I feel sorry for him, because he has been badly let down by Thelwell and the board, but, surely he should have realised by now that, who ever he has got, who is not Maupay, must be given a chance now.

They both seem to think that hitting the target with a shot is enough.

This fella has scored 1 goal in his last 39 premier league games and that goal was almost a year ago.

Really poor decision letting him lead the line on the first game of the new season, don't care what he did against poor opposition pre season or in training.

Shouldn't be anywhere near the first team. Kids should be played ahead of him, hell I would even play the toffee girl ahead of him.

Unforgivable that we don't have a decent backup for Dom with the season underway. Continued gross negligence.

This is all we should concern ourselves with. We have a forward who has played a lot and does not score. He also has zero assists before some weirdos start saying he offers "other things" to the team.

It's the classic "he has PL experience" but I agree. Not only isn't he very good he's also ill-suited to our system. How we haven't brought one experienced number nine in is beyond me even an average one like Che Adams would offer more to the team. Maupay was always the wrong fit to lead the line we saw it over and over last season.
