You have sympathy sure he will enjoy driving home in his lambo whistling to James brown on smooth FM. I have no sympathy for him he’s paid to do a job and doesn’t even come close to doing it. What’s really horrible is people working hard all week and still going home skint and using food banks not this weapon being crap.

It’s only human to have sympathy for someone who really needs a break or a bit of luck and isn’t getting it.
It’s not competition between having some sympathy for a human being and having some sympathy with those who are struggling to make ends meet. You can be sympathetic for both.

Fair enough as I said you have sympathy for him I won’t and will be glad to see the back of him.
It’s not really is it.
He was joint second top scorer in the Championship with Tammy Abraham and was similar stroke rate in the other half season he played that league.
He outscored Trossard at Brighton and has been selected by France at every level apart from the full national side.
Let’s not play games here. He’s been way below where we’d like him to be but he’s certainly still got something to offer and is much better than Doncaster’s level.
As Everton fans we shouldn’t be dwelling on how poor he’s been but looking at what we need to do to get his undoubted and proven ability out of him.
Thankfully tonight he gave us a very slight glimmer of what he can offer.
For me he’s been criminally misused but I always knew he had something and hopefully now he’s playing off a big man we may get to see what he’s capable of.
It was a very positive initial partnership with Beto tonight and I hope it goes from strength to strength and continues.
There’s nothing to be gained by kicking our own players at this point. Nothing!
I’d rather play the young Portugal kid to be honest. More movement better control and twice as quick.

I’m not knocking him. I thought he struggled tonight and I can’t ate with better control as his first touch was extremely poor but he’s a young lad and I’ve seen plenty from him in the clips I’ve of him to think there’s plenty to come.
Maupay’s a decent player though. We’ve not seen it here yet but he is and I refuse to write him off just yet.
Hopefully Beto and Chermiti are the making of him as he’s been very poorly used by us and we’ve certainly not given him the platform to show how good he is up until now.
There are plenty of choices for a partner with Beto if we play 2 up. DCL, Danjuma and Dele, all of them offer far better technical skills than maupay. I’m more excited with Dele Beto partnership if he can rediscover his old form. That’s a big if.
