Maybe if the fans werent on his back all the time that would be different ? He took a lot of flack before his loan move to Brentford when in fairness it was the manager playing him in a poor set up rather than a lack of effort on the players part.

Some fans were on his back. Not all of us. He fights us fans like we're all abusing him on twitter and railway stations.

He's not very good but personally I'd never verbally abuse him or online. Like 99.9% of the fanbase. He drags us all into it by accusing the fans when it's a very small minority.

DCL has had a lot of stick and he doesn't drag us all into it. He's intelligent enough to know it's a minority of the fans and he also acknowledges if performances aren't up to scratch. This bloke on the other hand has a huge chip on his shoulder.

He's clearly WUM and we need to get him out of club.
But it's not his fault we paid £15m and gave him contract.
As a back up to DCL, I couldn't think of anyone less likely to fulfil that role.
That's down to Thelwell.
Any due diligence would've shown what type of character he was.
