Sky Sports | Football | Transfer Centre | Speculation | Toffees track Onuoha

Manchester City starlet Nedum Onuoha is being tracked by Everton, skysports.com understands.
The England Under-21 star has been in talks over a new deal since last season, but as yet nothing has been finalised.
Now it has emerged that Everton have expressed an interest in Onuoha, after City made their bid for Joleon Lescott earlier this month.
The Toffees knocked back City's bid for Lescott, but they could struggle to rebuff them further should they - as expected - return with an increased bid.
But Everton are not the only side keen on the 22-year-old, with Aston Villa and Tottenham also thought to be keeping tabs on his situation.
So should City decide to let Onuoha depart Eastlands, a bidding battle to land the young defender is likely to ensue.

No thanks. Injury prone.

The same 3 clubs are always mentioned together....Us , Villa n Spurs.
I would prefer Micah Richards if the Lescott deal has to go through.....

Yeah that's been mentioned before, I'd also prefer Richards. For some reason he seemed not wanted by Man City for a while, but I have a hunch they'll want to keep him now, maybe making room for this chap to leave

Anyone at right back would do in all honesty.....

I could do a job for us ha

Not sure on the Gosling one to be honest?? Looks a bit light weight surely?

I'm guessing the No's were coming for Onouha, must say I don't know much about him, apart from he seems to be in the U21 set up a lot....but I'd say no to him purely for the fact I guess Lescott would be wanted to go the other way!

Maybe for another thread, but Hutton, Naughton, Richards, Onouha, Sanchez - any others?

gosling was a right back and moyes moved him to right mid.
this is part of the lescott that has already gone through (stop being in denial boys) every1 in the media knows but they're not allowed to say anything proper so they keep releasing little nuggets like this.

Only way I can see this happening is if Lescott goes the other way. I don't think ManC is so stupid as to let us buy one of their defenders while they want ours unless a swapdeal is struck. Therefore I don't want to see this happening, not until Lescott come out again and says he will stay at Everton and that he will refuse to leave.

This smells like a roumor placed so we will get used to the thought and enerything will end up in a deal where Lescott goes the other way.
