He currently plays for Manchester City and the England national under-21 football team, though appearances have been limited due to injuries.

Born in Nigeria, Onuoha was raised in Manchester, England. He went to Nelson Street Primary School Miles Platting followed by Hulme Grammar Private School in Oldham. He achieved an impressive two 'A*' and seven 'A' grades at GCSE. He then completed his studies at Xaverian College Manchester where he achieved three 'A' grades at A-level[1]. An outstanding junior sprinter; aged 14 he finished in second place in the final of the 2001 English School's Athletics Association Junior 100 metres contest, clocking 11.09 seconds and beating current Great-Britain sprinter Craig Pickering.[citation needed]

He is also currently the co-national record holder for boys under 15 standing triple jump, in the Sports Hall events held annually throughout the UK, the record is held with international long jumper Jonathan Moore. The distance of 9.44 metres was achieved at Wigan in 2002.[

Clever, fast, can jump far and injury prone.

Love Wiki me, its superb.

Im thinking of creating one for you. I will be more a "avoid this man at all costs" type of thing. :D

People wouldn't accept 20 million plus Nedum Onuoha? I'd bite there hand off to be honest, accept it straight away.

Onuoha is highly rated at City, more so than Richards at centre back. He's far more proven there anyway and has done a decent job at right back for them aswell.

Can't see it though, City would be stupid to offer us a deal like that. We'd be ripping them off big time.

It'd be an offer that smelt of "here's a player we don't need to cover you while you find a replacement".

We'd still have to buy another centre half. He'd be good back up we could cash in on.

Why would we be ripping them off? He's a player with 0 value for Citeh.

Because at the moment he's arguably there best centre back. Which is why it's very unlikely that they'd offer us a deal like that. 20 million plus Onuoha would put Lescott at around 25-30 million, more than Tevez. He's not worth that.

Onouha is a promising player, a better centre back than Richards.

Doesnt matter if he's worth it or not, its about what he offers us and what happens when he leaves.

Would Onouha be the replacement for Lescott? Cant see it really. Would we rely on him to able to play are large chunk of the season with Jags out and Yobo going to the ACN? No. So we'll still have to buy some. Richards on the other hand would be thrown into the RB position straight away and has played in 1st team internationals.

Why is Onouha being mentioned over Richards if he was THAT good? Because Richards is rated higher, will stay at Citeh. Citeh will get defenders. When they do, Onouha will be surplus to Citeh so to me its no skin off Citeh's nose to throw him into the deal.

Might as well throw Michael Johnson in aswell.

Yeah that's a shout, Johnson, Richards and Onouha and 20mil will do for me (y)

Because the papers need to fill pages, they are always making up bullshit, it's there job. And I’m pretty sure Micah Richards has been linked to us the summer aswell as a few other clubs. And to be honest Hughes said lately that Nedum is going nowhere, he's too valuable to them.

Onouha is seen as a better and more proven centre back at City that Richards, they are the ones who watch him week out. Richards is a bigger name yes but he’s never looked comfortable at centre back.

City would be offering us 20 million and a promising centre back who is also perfectly capable at right back. Add the budget Moyes already has and your looking at around 30-35 million. Who’s to say we can’t get someone in for that amount of money? It’s not like Yobo, Lescott or Jagielka cost us a lot, around 12.5 million combined. None of them where big names either, Lescott came from Wolves and Jags from Sheffield Utd.

It would be a fantastic deal to be honest, it’d value Lescott at around 25-30 million. As good as he is he’s not worth that. As I said though, I very much doubt even they would offer that, no one would.

£20million is a good price for Lescott if we were to sell him, no doubt. I just find that he's worth more playing for us. No matter where the players come from and how much they were, its where they are now and what they're doing. We've got 3 core defenders that are the best in the prem. Just good buying by Moyes to eye the talent.

Onouha is a promising centre half, injury prone, but promising. He wouldnt replace Lescott though, so we'd have to by a centre half either way. I brought up Richards because, well, we'd still have to buy another centre half but we've got a right back that can jump straight in. Sounds like a better deal IMO. Money + a player that means something for us this season, not a squad player.

Unless he's good enough not to be a squad player. Citeh will get better defenders and he'll disappear on loan somewhere.

Either way Moyes is signing a centre back anyway, as he said lately. He'd have an extra 20 million to do that plus another defender for free (Nedum Onouha).

But the same applies to Richards, 20 million and either one of them would be a fantastic deal for the club.

I rate Onuoha but i think Huges does as well so i cqant see it to be honest, if it went to defcom 5 and Lescott left, i would want straight cash and a decent premium i may add. I trust Moyes far more in terms of selecting players to play for Everton then Mark Hughes telling us who could be usefull.

I still think the same about Lescott. People are reluctant to even consider a team without him because we know already that he's a good player. He's the safe option. Selling him for 20mil + a player is clearly a good deal in pure business terms, but we don't know what our defence would be like without him. David Moyes certainly won't want to go back to the shambles that was our back four at the start of last season. It's a very hard one to judge because it depends entirely on how good his replacement would be and how well they fit into the team.

I think a lot of people seem to think that Moyes will be able to go and pick up another Lescott for £5m, thats what I reckon. They see all the little bargains Moyes has done and think he can continue it. But the current market has gone crazy, theres still the odd bargain around, Cana £5m, Obertan £3m, Fernandez £3m, Maxwell £5m, but we didnt deem any of those players as the Everton Way.

Neville: 3.5 million
Yobo: 4.5 million
Jagielka: 4 million
Lescott: 5 million
Baines: 5-6 million

His record speaks for itself really, why couldn't he do something like that again?

And it doesn't even come down to that to be honest, if we sell Lescott for 20 million Moyes will have around 30-35 million to spend. So your point isn't really valid to be honest, he could look for bargains or big name defenders.

Brownie's spot on really, people are so scared of change.
