I got this one a few months ago from Costco
https://www.costco.co.uk/Computers/...A-GeForce-RTX-4060-Gaming-Desktop-PC/p/480248
Got it for £720.
It is like a minefield trying to find the right model. I'd prefer not a giant tower thing but dont want one that is too small and may be slow.
IGPU's these days are quite capable. I got the wife a Lenovo Legion Go which uses the AMD Z1 Extreme APU and it's actually a really good experience.A graphics card will help with RAM and also when watching things.
I don't suggest he buys a 4 series or anything but I would never suggest anybody bought a PC with integrated Graphics.
This is where I am leaningIt's a minefield mate. Get a cheap Dell and you're sorted. Warranty and everything. None of this having to scour 15 digits into a product name to make sure you haven't been had.
Get a ps5 with the money saved.
Yw.
So parts were falling off the man?Herpisimplex 10, to be exact.
Doesn't even need that much resources tbh. In fact, there's a whole new Doom after it AND a new one coming soon, so this is late gen by nowWhere did he say he plays games, Skolnik? You're wasting the man's money and I'm trying to be a public servant (God, it never ends) here.
He's not playing Doom 2016 at 4k on a 60", you dork...
For work especially. AMD's are decent enough for work things (and most higher grade integrated gpus now stream with no problem up to 4k, by the by), and Intel's Iris is fantastic in its own right.IGPU's these days are quite capable. If OP isn't gaming, a modern iGPU is a legit option these days.
It's 8 y/o...don't you game this thread up too, BoJack. Why am I the one keeping on topic, FFS. MotherF a Tuesday.Doesn't even need that much resources tbh. In fact, there's a whole new Doom after it AND a new one coming soon, so this is late gen by now
But yes:

I'd always swerved AMD, but got a laptop with one of their processors lady year. Best machine I've owned. Incredibly smooth. Crops over My similar spec work laptop with the i7 in it.Don't be afraid to browse AMD - price to performance is much better than i7/i9s imho, and they can save you a few quid. I'm a recent/current gen AMD convert and have had absolutely no issues so far.
Also as @Goat said - more RAM will be what you need.
Cuz it's not that difficult anymore, as you can tell by the 2016 in the title like if anything, Goat started with the gamingIt's 8 y/o...don't you game this thread up too, BoJack. Why am I the one keeping on topic, FFS. MotherF a Tuesday.
Had to get some miniPC's for a thing at work and they were all great. Laptops haven't really tested personally but seeing good reviews.I'd always swerved AMD, but got a laptop with one of their processors lady year. Best machine I've owned. Incredibly smooth.
