Bill must be a bit annoyed with the current weakness of the pound, making our fanciful approaches look even more expensively fanciful. Or fancifully expensive.
 
@AlbaEspana: For those asking, the reason Everton won't sign Alvaro Negredo for €10M is because Del Nido/Sevilla already turned down €14M+ this window.

The debt really should be irrelevant to a takeover as it needs to be taken into account with the asking price for the club.
 
If we are 5 million short of the asking price for Negredo, it should have been a very short conversation and we could move on to the next target.

It shouldn't have even got that far, as his agent would have known what sort of figure was going to be needed, especially if (as reported) they've already rejected a large offer for him this window.
 
found a source but cant post a link as i dont have 20posts source says 11m euros is enough as sevilla are totally broke and need cash. Tottenham have shown an interest today in player but want loan ahead of permanent move in summer depending on champions league qualificatoin. Sevilla laughed at them.

the offer to sevilla from everton is 100% cash paid today.
 
I can see it now, he's going to sign and on the last day when we need a win at Chelsea to seel 4th the ball will drop to him in the box on the volley, in the 94th minute......

You couldn’t make it up!

We tried though, and we made sure that we went for top class players, because there’s no point in improving upon Osman and Neville unless they are replaced with players who we have no chance of getting. So we may as well stick with Neville and Osman. Great logic
