Nelson Dock

It’s a great idea. The water along side the stadium is nice but they could always do what they have done at the front (Mersey side) and leave a strip of water.

This stadium has to generate money for Everton. I’ve always said it’s great that people go the pubs around Goodison but Everton make nothing off this, nothing. It would be great some sort of hugh Everton village (Barca) style where every pint, every pie, every chip, Everton at least get something.

Anything that faces down the wind off the estuary. December is gonna be cold. Someone needs to start up a firm knocking out Everton versions of these...

I think they heard that the red lot were going to build a massive billboard there, with an old photo of what the docks used to look like, to make the new stadium disappear. Bit like what David Copperfield used to make the pyramids disappear.

Surely we want things that make money - I don't get peoples preoccupation with a ferry service.
Can people please declare how often they've used it in the past decade.😄
I've never had to but with 52,000 people pouring into sandhills or walking 25 minutes back into town, a ferry to Woodside then jump on the train at Hamilton square would be ideal

I lived over near Rock Ferry years ago. I would never ever ever get the ferry from Liverpool to Birkenhead ahead of a train service that goes every 5 minutes. The only route that makes any sense would be to Seacombe IMO because there's little by way of train service around there.
The ferries don't even run the peak hour every 20 minutes commuter service at weekends so low is the demand.

They do the tourist route on the weekend, think it takes about 30 mins so don't think it'll work. It's pretty popular with cruise ship tourists etc, not sure they'd sacrifice that anyways.

If a development would be both functional and aesthetic and also generate more revenue for the club then it would be a great idea.

It always seemed the stadium would be the catalyst for a wider re-development of the area.

It doesn't have to be tied to the club to be good, but there is a lot of scope there to do things and if done right the benefit of association to Everton is more than just financial.

Should turn it into a water park like Blizzard Beach in Florida. Water roller coasters, lazy river, man-made beach, pool bars, etc. Should be one slide that transports you directly to your seat inside the stadium or at the very least into a big tank of water that has access to the section you're sat in.

Quick question for the Liverpool locals. Just what exactly is part of Nelson Dock? Can anyone explain in the picture above.

Does seem there is something missing in that picture though?🤔
Basically run a ring round the outside as per the one on Bramley-Moore Dock there.

The boundary line with Salisbury / Collingwood Dock is the only bit in question for me.

Bramley Moore’s plot extends down to the water of Nelson Dock, so I imagine Nelson Dock’s plot would do the same - making the southern edge the blue one rather than the orange one here:
