Nelson Dock

Exactly, not sure why I'm getting heckled for thinking it would be amazing for the city. Quicker for Atlantic cruises either way.
It would be great , I was at the Pier Head 2013 when the three Queens came in ,it was an unforgettable sight.. It has to be said though the Liverpool waterfront didn't look too attractive back in the 1960's when Cunard pulled out. Now it's been transformed and still improving . Plenty of cruise liners call but I doubt we'll ever get the transatlantic trade back from Southampton.

There has been talk in the city of it returning to Liverpool, with Cunard being housed back up here as well.

Why won't they? What about P&O?

It feels like the lack of ambition from our current and previous MP's and metro mayor has rubbed off on everyone.
Only my opinion of course but P&O too embedded down there. As an example, their Norwegian Fjord cruises turned down a proposal from Hull to use that port as a base. Doing so would save two days at sea.
