New beginning, new captain.

I don't think we have a single player captain material at the minute.

Captain for me should be a shouter and an organiser, someone who gets in the refs ear etc.

Only person I can think off like that at the minute who starts is holgate.

Maybe Allan could be a captain but would be weird giving it to a new player wouldn't it?
What about a pointer?

hi buddy i what exactly what u r saying. the need for a passionate stare u in the eye guy who understands the dna of ur club and willing to put his very soul for trade for a last minute equalizer. yes buddy. step forward young davies and CRUSH the dissenters and any punk who stands against his everton.
Nope but thanks for you're input.

If Keane can get playing well more consistently and be a bit more vocal, no reason why he couldn't be a future captain
Holgate too young IMO, I think he will give it to Keane
1. Digne
2. Richarlison
3. Keane
Keane or Digne for me. Maybe a bit soon for Holgate?
Keane? lol lol lol
So, if he was nothing like the current Keane he'd be the best choice?

I must be getting my Doncaster (Yorkshire) and Stockport (Mancunian) accents mixed up.

I could have sworn i heard a Yorkshireman at centre back barking instructions at his fellow defenders + central midfielders and getting them into the right positions.

Happy to consider Keane using Holgate as a ventriloquists dummy as Keane never seems to move his lips all game.

Pretty impressive stuff already but Keanes 'silent leadership' takes on a new dimension when he magically inspires Holgate to show some snide at Firminho et al and even FabDel.

Michael Keane eh...Captain, Leader, Legend.

actually also a good point, even though it's just a bit of a show, having a slightly awe-inspiring or intimidating character at kick off and in the tunnel makes a bit of a difference, surely. doesn't have to be a hard man, just someone with some aura and character.
Like Jags. Strike fear into the hearts of the opposition

Pickford a possibility? May mean he pulls his finger out and gets him back up to speed. Don't think you can give it straight to a new signing so that probably only leaves Keane or Holgate. I'd give it Holgate as he is more vocal
If we gave it to Pickford he'd make his own paper crown and run around shouting 'I am King!' like an ADHD kid who's had free rein on the pick n mix

I can still see Coleman playing and being captain. I wouldn’t give a new signing it, certainly not straight away.
By default you are probably talking Keane or Holgate.
Holgate could be in the future, he can be vocal at times and does have a bite to his play.

Richarlison. Best player, fan's favourite, biggest nark. Literally all you need. Team needs several leaders with one chief who commands the respect of fans, opponents and team mates
