Probably - lead in times as well are ridiculous as well so you could be signing up for something now at the top of the market to be delivered in nine months when there are a lot better deals around. I think most garages let you cancel without penalty at any point up to delivery (or at least into manufacture) so you could pull out or ask for a better deal.

I'm going to stick it out and hope it becomes a buyers market again. I also couldn't wait over six months for a car as I'd change my mind at least five times in that period. lol I'm assuming you were thinking of buying new though which if you aren't could slightly change the maths etc.

Hello knowledgeable patrons of GOT,

Currently got a Renault Captur (diesel) as the family runaround but my commute has recently changed from an hour to twenty minutes so I want to get a petrol car.

Any recommendations? Want something that's cheap to run, comfortable and big boot preferably. I'll most be doing 20/30 minutes journeys in it.

Also, if I'm going to sell mine, has anyone used Cazoo? They've given me a reasonable quote to buy mine but has anyone ever dealt with them?

I went to sell a motor last week. We buy any car offered 9.4K. Went into Arnold clark and got 14k for it. Shop around mate. Absolute silly money for buying and selling motors at the moment. Or just wait and ride this absolute mess out.

Might be worth checking out carwow mate, managed to knock a bit off the car I wanted

you put the car in you want and it goes to various dealerships and they bid for the custom.

Far too fussy to ever be bothered with this kind of nonsense. My mum always told me to stay away from those type of women.
