I'm convinced whatever car you take to a mechanic/scrapyard they will tell you what you're driving is crap or the 'yard is full of them'

I have never had any luck with a Ford - Cortinia great engine, inner wings went - I had a fiesta E reg that was OK - had an Escort rust box again - Vauxhall man myself for 24 years - now moved to a Škoda Fabia 1-2 TSI petrol - Estate & a VW saloon for my son got them last year very low mileage - they have shot up in price since purchasing them .... great cars .....so far ..... Skoda are virtually VWs .....

Hello knowledgeable patrons of GOT,

Currently got a Renault Captur (diesel) as the family runaround but my commute has recently changed from an hour to twenty minutes so I want to get a petrol car.

Any recommendations? Want something that's cheap to run, comfortable and big boot preferably. I'll most be doing 20/30 minutes journeys in it.

Also, if I'm going to sell mine, has anyone used Cazoo? They've given me a reasonable quote to buy mine but has anyone ever dealt with them?

Cheers in advance.
Sell yours now with high used prices and get a cheap run around until car prices crash..

Porsche Cayman GT4 RS

I didn't read past "Any recommendations?"...just an FYI.

Agree on Skodas mate, tremendous value cars. Lots can't get past the badge.

I'd have merrily got a Skoda equivalent (the Superb) of my current car (VW), but surprisingly I got a better deal on the VW used. Virtually the same cars bar styling and the odd bit of kit.

I went to sell a motor last week. We buy any car offered 9.4K. Went into Arnold clark and got 14k for it. Shop around mate. Absolute silly money for buying and selling motors at the moment. Or just wait and ride this absolute mess out.
Was that an online quote from Arnold Clark or did you take it in? What car do you have mate?
