If you actually think about it, them keeping the crest after these polls and petitions is absolute madness. If you do market research before you launch a new product, and 95% plus of the people HATE it then you'd have to be off your face to actually go ahead with it, or be in state of incredible denial.

the whole process doesn't make sence mate. hire a kopite/bunch of non-evertonians to come up with a design. spend 6 months on something which looks like it has consisted of 2 mins effort. Remove the most historic parts of the badge because they "mean nothing to the fans of the "people's club"". See it accidentally leaked and awareness has risen of massive discontent. Go ahead with the idea and lie about this being the fans' opinion. End Result = 99% (record figures) of discontent throughout the whole fanbase and a probable result of carrying on with the first plan.

So disappointed.

Mate, they couldn't even be bothered (with ALL the ways you can poll online now) to put up 3 or 4 version and let the supporters decide. There's an unprecedented level of contact with supporters now and they still f'ed us off.

I think this just shows completely that Everton is 100% Staff Vs Fans. Almost as if they want to do stuff like this just because they can and it's a display of the power they have over us.

In WHAT other company would this be allowed to go ahead. Here's an idea, actually get proper input from the fans/market, so you know what they'll like and you know WHAT THEY'LL BUY.

They've literally done the opposite here, as if their goal was to loose money.

If you see anyone wearing the new badge, make a point of letting them know how crap it looks.

Maybe if we make it unfashionable to buy, people won't.

I just don't get why the shield has to be so "fat" at the bottom.

Its because of the font size they have used for "Everton". This makes it look like Sow's head.

If they had just used EFC it would have looked better - but I still don't like the fatter tower or the yellow piping, which I have always hated, even on the last crest.

All I ask is this...does it not seem the right thing to do (ie. poll the fans)? They buy the gear, the tickets etc. It could have been a brilliant way to let everyone feel a little involved AND make the majority happy, especially with all that's gone on over the years with the stadium and now being sans manager. It's just bad...bad, bad bad and an overwhelming majority know it.

Their answer: "[Poor language removed] it".

Daft thing is mate, we are the ONLY people they have to appeal to! Its not like M&S or Next launching a new clothing range is it? I can understand them wanting to perhaps update the badge, (wasnt that keen on the old one TBH), but, blimey. I am in business, and have to deliver solutions to dozens of different clients. I would love it if they all wanted the same from me, FFS!

went past Goodison before, it's not on the big stadium badge yet lads, but it's only a matter of time...

...pray for us
