Possibly, but is it even a realistic option for them to change it this late? They'll have the new kit already designed and produced, the stadium has been redecorated etc. I'm not a fan of the badge, but I don't think it should weigh that much of a bearing.

They still have the old badge on from the 1991-2000 era. They better not change that!

Doesn't matter. The point is, if it's too late for the coming season, unfortunate. The aim is to stop this for future seasons.
Next season needs to be a one off, written off.

If you actually think about it, them keeping the crest after these polls and petitions is absolute madness. If you do market research before you launch a new product, and 95% plus of the people HATE it then you'd have to be off your face to actually go ahead with it, or be in state of incredible denial.

I found that the badge seen in the ICC page doesn't look too bad.
And by comparison, I found that the color of everton badge in icc and in official everton facebook is different

I bet they didn't expect half the backlash it has got. At the time, they're thinking about this jazzy idea of sprucing the badge up, never did they expect this. It doesn't even need major changes; get rid of that yellow border, manipulate the treehouse and make it skinnier and it wouldn't look half as bad.
