Yeah, I think Moshiri has largely been a disaster, despite the big spending. He has turned us into a hire and fire club. Bill at least would stand by the coaches and give them time.

Moyes was the reason we weren't relegated not Bill mate, he worked miracles on a none existant budget, fuelled by players sales, asset stripping and debt. David Moyes for me kept us afloat with his astute transfer bargains and an eye for under performing talent, he probably overstayed his welcome by two or three years but that's not his fault.

I think he was because some one who posts on another forum who gets most stuff right said it.
Also he has just appointed another manager who has never won anything in his life either so there is that.

To be fair to Nuno he has only managed for a couple of years. Moyes has 14 years on him. It's more the case of Moyes has proven he wont push us on to where we want to be as he had 11 years at it. We know exactly what we would be getting with him and I think Moshiri wants more than that.

Moyes was allowed to spend big on wages to keep our better players at the club. Also got very well paid himself.

Don't know about that, would have loved to see Moyes in the earlier days after he built his solid base, with some real money to spend, but alas we will never know.

Nuno?!
Oh No No.

'Glory Supporter' here.

Me thinks I better not build my expectations up too high for short term success. But I hope I'm wrong and I look forward to other like-minded glory supporters joining me .

Mid-table shouldn't be an indicator of success for a club of our stature but it seems to be becoming the norm.
We actually have glory supporters?

You bunch of sadistic [poor language removed]

It's surely practically impossible to serve up even worse football than the turgid crap we had to watch last season?
This is it, I don’t know why people are losing their heads over Nuno, if it is to be him. We were absolute turd after Xmas (RS excepted). The ‘worlds greatest manager’ could only get us 10th. So either he’s past it or we have a crap squad....... I’m leaning towards the latter. So whoever is appointed has a mammoth task on their hands.

My point was you can't call one disappointing season a regression. Who knows what would have happened next season. Wolves fans wanted him to stay we know that much.
You can if he doesn’t hang around to improve things! Also, Nuno’s role was purely coaching, to maximise the performance of the squad. I don’t think he did that last season.

Moyes had a bit of capital in the bank, and had proper managerial control, so it is a bit of a different scenario to Nuno’s. Wolves did spent a lot of money to get where they are.

In his early days sure, some people on here were not even born then!

His record when spending real money was not quite as good as when working on a small budget.

Yup. I think we would have been like Forest had Moyes not came in. But at the same time, Bill did appoint him, and was smart enough to let him work in peace.

A lot of them players could have left for more money, Baines for example. But a fair few did Arteta, Lescott and I know Yakubu, was definitely on his way to Spurs, before that injury.

They could have indeed but we offered them new contracts to keep them sweet. Nothing wrong with that it's another way of spending whatever money you do have available.
