It's a simple issue with Benitez. He'd be even more divisive than Allardyce was and we absolutely do not need that right now. There is no one who will please all supporters because loads of our fans have their expectations far too high, but whoever we appoint is going to need an element of patience and goodwill. Benitez would not get that.

I'm sure we wouldn't be against winning the Europa League and finishing 3rd whilst absolutely smashing attacking and defensive stats over the season.

Just for clarity Roman actually wanted Rafael to carry on the project and was willing to give him a further 2 year contract but feared the Backlash from the fans. Rafael was actually supposed to take over in the summer, but Di Matteo won the Champions league and so Roman didn't think it would be fair to get rid of him, so waited until form slipped and Rafael came in. Rafael and Roman are still on good terms.
You know an awful lot about Benitez mate

How can he establish them and take them down?

Potter, Howe and Nunos recent records in the Premier League are all better than Benitez's

Yes it's true that he was the manager when they went down, but he didn't take them down, McClaren did. Rafas form in their 9 games under him was top 20 level form. If he had the full season, they wouldn't have gone down.

How did he establish them. They had been a midtable Premier league side for 2 years when Bruce took over, pretty much transformed the squad.

Already said Nuno never my first choice so you can pipe down with that shout.

Once again, I'm not going to explain it to you. You know what flavour of the month means don't you? Have a little think Zat.

A manager was sacked? So what? Klopp was sacked, José was sacked, Ancelotti was sacked, Ranieri was sacked, Brendan Rodgers was sacked. You're talking utter drivel with that point.

I have no idea why you're getting so angry about the proposition of us appointing a football manager. Go outside and interact with a human and stop embarrassing yourself in yet another thread on here.

To paraphrase:

"Vitor Pereira is the same as Marcelo Gallardo and Ruben Amorim".

You cant explain yourself...youre saying successful mangers over different periods of time are flavours of the month and compared them with an unsuccessful journeyman manager -- youve described in the same language.

Thats nonsensical, illogical and wrong.

Doesnt sound like youve been an evertonian for long...Gallardo was interviewed before as per the media you seem to worship.

Thanks for the snide remarks at the end of your post...

Top 20 form???????????????????????????????

Because we are constantly bringing in different managers with vastly different ideas how to play. Do you not agree that the way Nuno has played the entire time in the league he sets up his teams a completely different way that ANY of our other managers? How does it make sense to have him come in with an entire squad of players not fit to play the way he wants. And, again, how many other managers play the way he does? Very little. So when he gets sacked or moves on, we're going to have pretty much an entire squad of players we have almost no use for.
Nuno has used multiple different styles throughout his career.

And if the squad is a mishmash of different styles then there is no one manager you could bring in that would make sense, by your logic.

He says himself the first thing he does when he joins a club is analyse the squad he has, tries to improve the players and then finds a style that suits them. That's exactly what you're calling for.
