He didn't take them down, McClaren did. Hell, he nearly rescued them against all odds with some of the best form in the league.

He then took them up and kept them mid-table, revitalising the squad and they haven't gone down since, with many of their best players still being Benitez signings.

That's not better than Moyes "nearly" getting into the Champions League. He was brought in to keep them up, he failed.

And then he went to China like the other finished footballers.

I would understand the argument if this was Rodgers (recent achievements) or Klopp (ugh but obviously), but Benitez has been a shadow of himself for over a decade. We may as well go for Dalglish than Benitez.

(I know you are not saying go for him, but some genuinely are, it's madness, he would be utterly doomed from the get go.)

You populate every thread with antagonism so don't be playing the woe is me card.

I'll explain it to you in layman's terms then. The likes of Gallardo and Amorim smack of Peirera in the way that they are currently popular choices without fans knowing too much about them (like VP was) and could well likely fade into obscurity and be forgotten by the fanbase in no time (like VP was). That's all I'm saying and I don't consider it a wildly unreasonable comparison. If you disagree, that's fine, but let's leave it there because we need to talk about Rafael...

Why not just post that youve never heard of the two managers and to you theyre a risk.

That would have saved all the nonsense waffle and your unpleasant insults.

I post my opinion, i dont insult people unlike yourself.

13th. Yes. In the last 19 games of the season, they were 7th in the form table. They started the season off badly, but form picked up. Actually finished on more points in the season where they finished lower.

Means nothing though really. We had a good season last season because we were top for a week or two early in the season.

I alluded to that but you made me explain it to you and also insinuated that the vast majority of Evertonians won't know much about those managers as well, and stand by that.

I don't believe I've insulted you, perhaps I've touched on the truth and you don't like that though. Anyway, Rafael on his way so I'm sure you'll be made up about that.
