Well I personally don't think Conte will be as disinterested as Carlo was.Have you slept through the last 18 months...?
See we had this manager called Carlo Ancelotti.......
The difference is Rafael would keep Big Dunc on. At every club he works at, he brings back club legends in some capacity.
No, as a manager at the peak of his reputation (as opposed to on the downslope), who could walk into almost any top job in the world when they become available, he'll likely be significantly MORE disinterested.Well I personally don't think Conte will be as disinterested as Carlo was.
I know people don't like odds being quoted but they are an indicator. Nuno is now 1/2 from 1/20 with SkyBet and Benitez has shortened to 3/1 second favourite, meaning it's not as done a deal as it looked.

They would be mad not to have sounded him out, but as you say it’s whether the board could offer him the sort of backing he would want. They've no doubt approached mate.
It's whether he said no or show me the money.
Conte is a passionate manager. I see it as unlikely that he'd go somewhere and suddenly not care at all. I don't expect him to come here so not sure it really matters but I see no good argument for Nuno over Conte. Continuity is great but doing it for the sake of it with a negative, restrictive style doesn't really do much. No, as a manager at the peak of his reputation (as opposed to on the downslope), who could walk into almost any top job in the world when they become available, he'll likely be significantly MORE disinterested.
We simply don't have the financial flexibility to give Conte the resources he would demand. If we had, it would be a different discussion.
I was using his word "disinterested"... I interpreted it to mean that he could easily have his head turnedYes to this. I wouldn't say disinterested though as explosive. Ancelotti blended in, I'm not sure Conte would. While we would herald it as "dragging the club forward" or whatever, which it actually looks like is potentially a Mourinho type collapse.
Cloud cuckoo land.If Usmanov is going to come in, and give hundreds of millions a year to spend and say "to hell with FFP"
