You honestly think a manager with his CV who didn’t have the Liverpool part would have 75% of fans in a poll saying no to him ?

The China thing is an unfair criticism. As I’ve said previously you don’t leave your family to go and manage in China at 60 if you want an easy retirement gig. That makes no sense.

It's not about the reds. Fair enough it could be clouding my judgement but there are a ton of other factors that worry me. If you offered me Brendan Rodgers I would take him right now.

The problem is that the reds connection matters to so many and people will become disillusioned.

He has been outperformed by Bruce at Newcastle and China is not an unfair criticism. I have concerns over his hunger because this is one of the toughest jobs in the world and we will need a long term manager with full commitment.

Promoted at first try? The man spent £150m while at Newcastle. With that sort of money to spend, of course they were getting promoted. And net spend? Only kopites care about net spend. He wasted money. Entire spine? They sold Sissoko (who most newcastle fans were happy to see the back of) and wijinaldum. Most of the others were past it or left on the cheap.

He didn't spend 150 mil in the championship though did he. He spent 57 mil and sold 87 mil.

Most of the players he signed were players with championship experience and were brought in for squad depth as he lost a dozen players due to dropping down a division. The most expensive player being Matt Ritchie at 12 mil, which to be honest has turned out to be a bargain. Gayle at 10 mil who scored 23 goals in the championship for them.

Even when Liverpool were challenging for the title and winning the champions league they were not a good side to watch.
At least there will be some continuation from last season

Say what you like about them, but that 08/09 season when Rafael had something resembling the squad he wanted they were very very good. Smashing 4 goals passed Madrid and United. 77 goals for, 27 against.

What about boyhood fan Rooney kissing the United badge in front of us, yet being welcomed back with open arms. Some want Moyes, he basically tried to steal our best players. Hypocrites everywhere.

The tantrum over those words is ridiculous. You want him to say those things about the rival.
