If it's true that we have interviewed Benitez 3 times then obviously the hierarchy were impressed with him, so, if the club think he is the right man for the job but they know the animosity (you would like to think that they must have realised the grief it was going to cause even speaking to him) that will be coming their way by his appointment do they ignore fan feeling and go with their decision that he's the right man?

I think if Benitez was getting the job it'd be done by the end of the day for some reason. After the horror of even being linked with him I'm confidently hopeful it won't be him. An utter disaster that would be.

I don't want NES as our Manager. I don't think he's terrible but hardly exciting / inspiring. The Mendes baggage he brings with him would be most concerning.

I have no idea who'll be our next Manager.

I think he's looking on slightly bemused but relieved at dodging the 'wheel of fortune' approach appointing managers in the PL which seems to have developed.
