The longing for Martinez on this place is embarassing. The guy was a joke manager. Relegated Wigan, stuck Lukaku on top of Moyes’ team to have a decent season, then decides he knew better and tore that team apart, two bottom half finishes when he had Stones Barkley Lukaku and the best full back pairing in the league. Not to mention the phenomenal 4-0s at Anfield, 6-2 at home to Chelsea, the 3-0 at Southampton where he didn’t make a sub. Turfing Besic off loads of times because he wanted to show to the fans he was in charge. Also bottling two semi finals that we’d got ourselves ahead in. To add to that almost every one of his transfers except Lukaku McCarthy and Barry were a joke.

Why does anyone want this clown back.
I'd assume the only reason Marty is getting a look in is because he isn't Benitez, it's a view I have some sympathy with if I'm honest.

Who cares who Spurs are talking to? They dropped themselves in it by sacking their manager 2 months ago. We were dropped in it without notice by Carlo the Rat, so ridicule and blame being showered on EFC by some others on this thread is inappropriate.
What's funny with Spurs is it seems the managers they talk too could be walking away from them, while we just cant decide but have had little warning to plan this.

no he has no plan, no actual ideas - just throwing money at whoever pops into his head next.

that is the definition of negligence.
No, his plan is for the DOF and manager to set the club up, they have let him down
He is willing to fund these things
Negligence would be taking money from the club and hiring crap managers etc

one thing mosh 100% isn’t is negligent

How does that make any sense? "If Everton want to move forward, the 63 year old Benitez who plays ultra defensive and awful to watch stuff and is completely out of touch with the modern game is the best choice to bring forth a modern methodology"?
In the wider context of modernising the football side if the club. He's a character that won't mind taking in sacred cows and slaying them. Age and football philosophy is not part of that.

Who are your sources? Why does your entire posting history on here revolve around Benitez? Why is it so hard for you to answer these simple questions?
He’s one of these nob heads.

A lot of the confusion and sense of disarray around these appointments (whether it be Everton, Spurs or anyone else is coming from agents.
The club will have agents sounding out who is interested and available and the various candidates will have agents trying to sound out the clubs, agents talking to agents talking to the media.

candidate’s already in a job you will hear less about for obvious reasons.

So you want an RS to come in and clean out our club for us? Never thought I'd see this day :( Cowards and capitulators, the lot of you!

But ironically, if we end up with Moshiri's choice, or Bk's choice, even if a 'moderniser' like Benitez comes in it'll prove that the manager will have no influence on the modernisation or revamping of the club. Football philosophy is supposed to be with a DoF or coaching staff, but we don't have that club culture or commitment at the moment.

IMO Brands is collateral damage in all this. Moshiri has realised his mistake in bringing him in as a DoF and has shifted him out the way and neutralised him as a director...bringing him more within his fold. I don't believe for a minute that Brands is 'against' the Benitez move. He might want peace and quiet from the coaching staff but he's paid by the owner.
