If the above link is true, then we need to go with Rafael Benitez and support him.

Farhad Moshiri and Usmanov are then men with money and they call the shots (Usmanov not going to put money in then be told by the fans he cannot have the manager he wants).

Moshiri can ask for advise from the rest of the board, but he is the one that will have the final say.

I think with Rafael we can challenge for a European place next (not top 4), but 6th or 7th.
I do not know how exciting the football will be, but we need European Football, as Villa and Leicester already started to strengthen there squads.

I do not see much of a difference between Ancelotti and Benitez.

If Usmanov wants him and Rafael wants to come, then we will get Rafael. Now all those fans who will give up there season ticket etc....will be taken by others.

Wow the Red Echo really want Rafael to join us . After their attack on the bedsheet b'tards yesterday and giving this failed author a platform to spew his nonsense , it's like they want Everton to fail . Didn't see this coming .

All I would say is if you asked fans prior to last season was Moyes finished 99% would have said yes - pointing to his failures at Real Sociedad and Sunderland.

Sometimes certain clubs suit certain managers.

I dont want Benitez but I wouldn't say on record that he is in any way a finished manager. Past his best most likely but so was Carlo who everyone was pulling their todgers off over last 18 months despite finishing 12th and 10th.

I’ve heard it said certain folks in the media really want Benitez to get the job as they think it will put them in a cushy position to get exclusives etc.

Moyes isn't finished.

He never even started, so how can he be finished?

Only if "the fans" play into the hands of the proven failures who make up a large section of our current playing staff.

Then again, if Moshiri and Usmanov are that determined to get and then support Benitez, it won't matter what "the fans" think.
