Only if "the fans" play into the hands of the proven failures who make up a large section of our current playing staff.

Then again, if Moshiri and Usmanov are that determined to get and then support Benitez, it won't matter what "the fans" think.

This is my worry, Carlo was untouchable so the longer he stayed the better chance that the likes of Keane Coleman Davies Siggurdson Gomes would finally leave. They probably think Christmas has come early here, they can get Benitez out easily and in amongst the chaos they’ll probably dupe another contract out of the club.

Only if the hierarchy are not sold on Benitez. These guys don't care about a section of the fanbase opposing their all-knowing plans for the club. If they are that determined to bring Benitez to the club, they'll back him. Otherwise, why bother?

I think Brands I probably sick of them now tbh. I think if offers come of for those players we will move them on.

Is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's a poor manager? With Cardiff he was poor, and now at Man Utd he has money to spend to buy quality players he looks a better manager (and Man Utd finished 2nd last season).

Rafael will money to buy better quality players, will make us much better.
I am sick to the back teeth of watching defensive Everton teams.
Apart from a brief period under Martinez it seems like 30 years of dismal football.
Football at its heart is intended to be an entertainment a diversion, an escape from the mind numbing drudgery of our existence not a sodding extension of it.
Hiring yet another defensive coach now when successful football is dominated by exciting front foot attacking teams is doubly dispiriting.
God! I would love to once again watch an Everton side that at least attempted to emulate the great Everton teams I have had the privilege of witnessing the teams of Catterick and Kendall, teams that strove to be the best.
Alas now it seems we merely strive to exist.

I find this kind of supplicant, serfdom "as long you're paying we will lick your boots" lickspittling pretty unpalatable.

Well done the vast majority of fans who are objecting to the fat kopite rat Benitez in advance. Shows that we still have a few with a spine.

Nonsense, we were unlucky. Carlo even said he was here for the long haul project.
I cannot believe our fans moan about Mosh and what he has done for this club
Carlo was never the right man to appoint anyway. He doesn't do long rebuilds, he wins trophies over 2 years and leaves. It was karma that he left us if anything.

Benitez signed Almiron. Also Bruce was pretty much forced to sell Perez and lost Rondon so had to start with a brand new front line to what Benitez had.
Benitez had a net spend of -£11m at Newcastle after taking over a shocking side.. Bruce SPENT a hundred million on the team Benitez stabilised.. Do you understand how that might make one chap's job more difficult than the other?

The only thing here that is destroying the club and stop us progressing is the constant change of managers and in that sense ancelotti has contributed massively. Whichever is the manager I want somebody that will stick around and really work on a project. If it's Rafael so be it...valverde is a good manager but not sure he would be the type to stick around especially if all goes well and he starts to get big offers from the big boys.
So how long do you want a manager to stick around for? I think the average time is 2.5years.
I don’t think I could stomach Benitez for 2.5 hours let alone 2.5 years.

We shall see how it all pans out but it’s a risk whoever we appoint.
