I think right now the fans just want an identity.

This is who we are, this is were we want to be and this is how we intend to do it type of thing.

Edit; I miss read your post and see your point, but Ill let my mini rant stand anyway.

The Fans have an Identity - They're Evertonians, they (this one anyway) want Skill and Effort...they (I) will forgive, up to a point, a lack of skill - if there's effort...Thats on field or off.
We have an Identity, plenty of managers remark upon the fact that, when we have our 'Identity' to the fore, it makes it hard for the opposition.
We're Sorted...(we don't need no badges etc.)
It's all those other 'kers on the pitch, in the dugout, the boardroom that need to sort themselves out and get a 'kin identity - a winning one.
