I think right now the fans just want an identity.

This is who we are, this is were we want to be and this is how we intend to do it type of thing.
Exactly we've been a non-entity in the league for the last I don't even know how long 6 years at this point? We don't have any discernible playing style we don't have any standout players except for James last year. Just give us something for God's sake.

I don't believe Talksport have a clue what is going on in the boardroom.

I think they jumped the gun with their story that Rafael was about to be appointed manager when I think the truth probably is that he had been brought in for discussions along with a number of other managers , some of whom we know, others probably that we don't know.

I think Benitez is as much in the running or out of the running as he ever was.
I think there are managers that would be preferred ahead of him but that there others that he is ahead such as Potter, Dyche and Howe. I think whoever is appointed will have a higher profile than those I just mentioned and have won trophies in the past... recent or distant.
Benitez, apart from the Liverpool connection, I think would have been a cast iron certainty as it would have been Carlo mark 2 with a far less chance of him ever leaving.

Galtier still has not joined another club and I can still cling to the hope of Conte and fall back on the argument that nobody believed we could get CA.
I think Nuno must have fallen out of favour as I think if he was the preferred choice he would already be here by now.

I really would not be surprised if in the next couple of days a completely new name crops up and gets appointed quickly . I am guessing that there is a small select group involved in the discussions and that very little information will be leaked from them so I really don't pay much attention to headline stories about who is in the race or out.
their source is probably jim white who is close friends with big mosher and william kenwright

I would love Bielsa, but someone made a point once that because of how intense his playing style is, very little of our current squad would be able to adapt.

What you think

Might mean a difficult year of transition but he would get the type of players he wanted in after a window or two.

I actually think he's the only man now to wipe away the stale malaise that is ingrained into this team.

You clearly don't look at the table much then, as they finished ahead of us. I'd have him over nuno or Rafael.

You make a lot of assumptions such as he is probably homesick.

We would 100% pay more than Leeds. Who cares if he uses an interpreter, it clearly works as he won promotion and then a top half finish in his first season in the PL.

Why talk about him when you know nothing about him and are making random guesses?
And yet Nuno got Wolves promotion and into Europe, yet people would burn their season tickets if he got the job. Little logic in the world of football.

Widely reported this morning that Lucien Favre is now Palace’s number one choice. Unclear whether any actual discussions have taken place but as our strategy appears to be akin to going to the local disco waving your willie in the air to see who bites (so to speak) I have no reason to suspect that this isn’t true.
Therefore, expect reports of Favre seen barrelling along the Walton Road in his 2cv later this morning.
God, I’m sick of all this.
At least now I have a reason for my lack of success in clubs - I should have done more willie waving.

Nuno isn't my choice from the football I've seen from wolves, but he did a decent job with wolves in getting them to where he got them. Wouldn't burn my season ticket if he got the job but I prefer Bieslas style of play from what I've seen.

I havent posted in a while, but in true EFC style we are going through every single manager rumour only to end up with someone who was rumoured on day one and then ends up getting the job anyway

I'd be very interested in this Lille guy. I wouldnt be a fan of Rafael but I also wouldnt run him out the club. I would certainly take Rafael over Eddie Howe.

Duncan is a no from me. Look at Tim Sherwood, Southgate etc, it rarely works
