Though it will be quite some achievement if they announce Nuno as manager with some acclaim after this storm, when he had a 69% disapproval rating barely more than a week ago.

Ancelotti was here as a stop-gap until the next glamour gig came along.

If you exclude those looking for another short-term pay-day, then it seems we are simply not an attractive proposition to a manager of substance.

The ideal candidate for me is someone young whose never managed in England and who'd see us as the perfect project to grow with. De Zerbi, Julien Stephan, Marco Rose, Diego Martinez. That kind of profile.

We've never appointed a manager from another foreign club either. Ancelotti's previous job was in Italy but he had managed in and won the PL before.

The most exotic was Walter Smith from Scotland. The rest of our permanent managers in PL era had already managed in the Prem bar Moyes (Championship).
