You've still not answered why you want Favre so much you say this;

Educate me - what am I missing?

What's so good about Favre?
His record with Nice and Borussia is pretty decent, did ok at Hertha Berlin too.
of course he’d be a gamble, but who wouldn’t at Everton?

As already explained, attack minded football, experienced coach, what’s not to love?

I didn't directly answer because others have already pointed it out after.
Think the fascination is that he rebuilt two sides in different countries, relatively big clubs, Nice and Monchengladbach, from mid table or relegation-battling to the champions league, playing attractive attacking football.
Left them in much stronger positions than they started with.

The spell at Dortmund could be classed as an aberration but it wasn't horrendous.

Outperfoms expectations in the league
Bloods youth players
Plays aggressive, attacking togger

All big pluses for us

I've said it before but my opinion is pretty clear and open minded on the situation....

I am very happy to get behind any appointment as long as it is not the reappointment of a former manager, or a controversial choice who would immediately split the fan base due to connections with our rivals.

£11million a year might go some way to persuading him?

My gut feeling is that if it’s someone at the Euros it’s gonna be Bobby.

but he could stay managing Italy and lead them to the next World Cup…. And frankly that would look more appealing than coming back to England for another ‘project’.

He got Monchengladbach and Nice into the Champions League, they were teams like us sort of middling around 7th before he came in. He also got Dortmund as close to the title as they have since Klopp was there.

Defo a good manager, but what we need I'm really not too sure. 63 as well which makes me think he probably hasn't got another 4/5 year project in him.

I always had him as one of the 5 I would target. I'll try to give my positives;
1) He's available so no fee to buy him out
2) He's worked, relatively successfully at clubs who are of similar stature to Everton with similar aims- Dortmund/Gladbach (and to a degree Nice).
3) He seems comfortable in working to a system of integrating younger players, which we keep getting told is what we have to do.
