There is because we again go from a manager that had a plan, players he wanted in and wanted out to progress.

Now we're back to square one again. A new manager will look at the squad of players that have failed every previous manager, give them a new chance, then look to bring and bed new players.

They also have to fill the deficiencies in the squad that are as clear as day.

We've been here before. We've had one of the best managers in world football trying to rebuild. Now we'll go down the route of a new manager with different experiences and philosophies and what? Expect to be a better side?

It won't happen. The past decade has told us this. It needs a full reset
If that's the case then we seriously need to get rid of Brands. No messing about, if he's been here 3 years and isn't yet in a position to be able to say to a new manager 'these players will work for you, these won't' then he quite simply isn't worth employing.

Ancelotti was one of the best managers in the world, but he was NOT one of the best managers in the world at rebuilding. That's the point. He was never a good fit for us, he had absolutely no history whatsoever of doing what we needed him to do. I can see why we tried it, but it didn't work and never really looked likely to in all honesty. The right type of manager will find it much easier to rebuild than Ancelotti did, and the players will find it easier too. The difficult bit is finding the right manager, but there are loads of examples of clubs being - both relatively and genuinely - successful while a manager is still in the development phase, there's no need for us to get all woe is me and say we're right back to square one (as if we'd ever moved off it) and have to wait until Brands has been 6 years before it's reasonable to expect him to have improved us from 8th to 6th.

Thing is I
I think anybody that doesn’t say Conte is a bit mad as he’s perhaps the only manager I’d have replaced Carlo with when we had him as he has no qualms in getting rid of deadwood but also (as shown with Lukaku)
capable of putting an arm round the shoulder and getting the best out of big players and he’s another serial winner.

I don’t think we can get him, I don’t see why he’d go from winning Serie A to us as I’m sure he’ll have better options but he’s the best on the list.

If he came to us he would be coming to us purely for the doe. He would want shed loads of money to spend, loves old players and is liable to walk out at any given moment like Carlo. How could anyone want a Conte after what just happened with Carlo? It's madness

I can’t see him being tempted at all but Conte as a coach is as impressive as they come.

He transformed Juve, Chelsea and Inter into slick footballing sides - all great to watch but require quality.

With a few top drawer additions and retaining our best players, he’s the best out of a job.

Do you get upset easily pal?
Who said Ancelotti wasn’t good enough for Everton?
And even if somebody has written that, do you honestly take their comments seriously?
Carlo Ancelotti was good enough for Everton just not the toxic fan base who demanded instant gratification after 26 years without a pot to piss in

but Everton, innit

As true than as now.
Reporter; Prime Minister? What will stop your Government carrying out its policies?
MacMillan; Events (beyond your control) dear boy, Events.

It's always 'Event's' of one sort or another with us

Two words - Jordan Ibe

Other than Solanke and Ibe, who were his other bad buys?

Is worse than Olson, Joel, Stekelenburg, Ash Williams, Besic, Bolasie, Lennon, McCarthy, Schneiderlin, Kone, Niasse, Valencia, Martina, Klaassen, Siggurdsson, Vlasic, Tosun, Walcott, Gomes, Bernard, Delph, Gbamin, Iwobi, Kean & King.

How many 100s of millions have been spent on them in transfer fees and wages?!?
