Can I say something about Eddie Howe, I know not a manager we all want, including myself but can we not as a fanbase give credit where it is due?

Kept Bournemouth in the Premier League for 5 seasons with one of the lowest budgets of any PL club ever. They were only relegated by a dodgy goal line technology error, the goal that never was against Sheff Utd, it should have been Villa that went down!

Of those 6 seasons 2 were 16 and 18th and the others 9th to 14th which isnt a million miles away from where we are now with a club with a stadium less than half the capacity of Goodison and a budget less than half of ours.

Sometimes we are so focused on big names that we disregard the good work someone has done, TBF he has got a relegation on his CV but that is harsh being as they were robbed by technology & VAR.

I`m not putting a case forward but saying lets be balanced in our views.....

He spent 20 million English pound on Dominic Solanke. It's a no from me

I think anybody that doesn’t say Conte is a bit mad as he’s perhaps the only manager I’d have replaced Carlo with when we had him as he has no qualms in getting rid of deadwood but also (as shown with Lukaku) is capable of putting an arm round the shoulder and getting the best out of big players and he’s another serial winner.

I don’t think we can get him, I don’t see why he’d go from winning Serie A to us as I’m sure he’ll have better options but he’s the best on the list.

As a Leeds fan I'm telling you all now Bielsa is rubbish, so if i was you i wouldn't even try and get him, we're just putting up with his exciting brand of fast paced all action type of winning football until we can get Big Sam in.

So honestly Bielsa would disappoint you.

If moshiri ends up taking over from brands and getting someone instead of letting brands make the decision, what is the point of having brands here? Now is the time for moshiri to step aside and leave the footballing decisions to brand which I hope he does

Farhad ( and perhaps Usmanov) have a huge decision to make.

There are different avenues and personnel available.

1. The big name manager.
More of the same from an Ancelotti type Hollywood name.
Perhaps Conte ( if the salary is big enough and he has no other options ) although that might be unrealistic.
So consider Favre or Galtier or maybe even Low.

2. Middle ranking - could be here for the long term.
An uninspiring list I think.
Topped by Moyes ( if Blue Bill gets to him before he signs his new contract ) along with Nuno and Dyche.

3. The young manager prepared to work with Brands
So not so steady Eddie Howe , maybe Frank Lampard or perhaps young Wayne fancies a go.... lol.

An unenviable decision. I'd go for Favre myself.

Kenwright option 2.

Seems to be the major issue. The club hierarchy don't seem to pull in the same direction.

After the club managed to pull off the carlo appointment, I don’t feel any appointment is unrealistic, in terms of luring conte etc? Certainly worth a go??

i think the conte move would depend on poch to Spurs though. As could see PSG eyeing conte as his replacement?!

Another thing about losing Carlo - is his pull for signings

Does he really though? Yes some of his previous clubs signings, like James and Allan but only as they wanted out anyway. Not like he could go and prise Varane or another top player away as they have too many top clubs after them.

I dont want more James' and Allan's. I want more Godfreys

Thinking about longevity, how would anyone feel about a Potter/Dyche/Howe manager assisted by Rooney and Ferguson? Then promoting within, if all goes OK...

Surprised at the lack of support for Potter. He wouldn't be my first choice but in the context of the names being linked he stands out a mile to me. Hopefully the list isn't as narrow as we're being led to believe and we can get someone better, but i'd take Potter over Moyes, Martinez, Howe etc.

I genuinely can't tell if people are on the wind up or just nobody can figure out we need to go sometging vastly different. Vitor? Martinez? Howe? Fn Benitez?

We've been targeting this stupid idea we need a manager with PL experience. All 5 of our last ones had that and failed here pretty spectacularly. How about simply someone who has an idea of how they want to play but just flexible and doesn't hate giving youth a chance?

Agree, the having premier league experience is just a sound bite

Completely agree.
It's why I don't know why Moshiri hasn't got rid of Kenwright and I have no idea why he employs a DoF.

If the board are looking at Howe, would be odd if they weren't looking at Potter.

Rather Potter than Howe...but rather neither if I'm honest...very underwhelmed
