I genuinely can't tell if people are on the wind up or just nobody can figure out we need to go sometging vastly different. Vitor? Martinez? Howe? Fn Benitez?

We've been targeting this stupid idea we need a manager with PL experience. All 5 of our last ones had that and failed here pretty spectacularly. How about simply someone who has an idea of how they want to play but just flexible and doesn't hate giving youth a chance?
100% which is why we should look at Gallardo, Amorim etc

Genuinely whats the difference between Potter and Silva? both had perceived good playing styles, neither had done anything which would make me clamour for them.

I hate with a passion the short sightedness of the club and the fans sometimes, the whole premier experience thing needs to be thrown out the window, look where thats got us.

Rip it up, start a new plan and do something different. have some imagination for god sake.

Completely agree.
It's why I don't know why Moshiri hasn't got rid of Kenwright and I have no idea why he employs a DoF.
The DoF should either have control over the strategy or implement the strategy from Moshiri.

We don't seem to stick to either. Either approach can work, but we need consistency in the implementation. My feeling is to appoint a younger manager who can stay and build a reputation, develop the younger players and play some attacking football. We aren't going to be pushing for top 4 soon, but we can build to it.

That seems to be the method that Brands favours. Moshiri seems to want to short cut the process.

Can I say something about Eddie Howe, I know not a manager we all want, including myself but can we not as a fanbase give credit where it is due?

Kept Bournemouth in the Premier League for 5 seasons with one of the lowest budgets of any PL club ever. They were only relegated by a dodgy goal line technology error, the goal that never was against Sheff Utd, it should have been Villa that went down!

Of those 6 seasons 2 were 16 and 18th and the others 9th to 14th which isnt a million miles away from where we are now with a club with a stadium less than half the capacity of Goodison and a budget less than half of ours.

Sometimes we are so focused on big names that we disregard the good work someone has done, TBF he has got a relegation on his CV but that is harsh being as they were robbed by technology & VAR.

I`m not putting a case forward but saying lets be balanced in our views.....
Two words - Jordan Ibe

Does he really though? Yes some of his previous clubs signings, like James and Allan but only as they wanted out anyway. Not like he could go and prise Varane or another top player away as they have too many top clubs after them.

I dont want more James' and Allan's. I want more Godfreys
Agree with this, we certainly did'nt see any evidence of this 'pull for signings' last season i mean Allan is not the player he was a season before and had fallen out of favour with Napoli and Madrid had been trying to give James away for ages as they were fed up with him, both were aging players on the way down. The up and coming talent these days they want to play for the likes of Pep or Klopp or guys like that not the Carlos or Joses anymore. Example would be that Ecuadorian lad that chose to go to Brighton rather than come here as he will get more of a chance and that's what players want at the end of the day.

It really doesn't matter which manager is brought in if we don't get another 5 or 6 Godfreys in.
Only then will the top managers consider.
Carlo has ended up making a damning statement on this club, and its an honest one, ie squad lacks quality and character and won't win titles or make CL in next couple of years. No chance of Mourinho, Poch, Ten Hag or Conte.
And we missed the Bielsa boat.
Just hope they'll get in some proper young players who'll have a go and put the rest to shame
How did you reach that conclusion? He left to go to Madrid. Money and sunshine. No other reason. Mosh would've backed him in the transfer market and he knew that. Comments regarding FFP are testament to that.

Let's not make this into something it is not.
